OoOo that nasty bird is back. One swoop then the gutless coward stayed in a tree as it knew I was stalking it. I was right under it, hand my slingshot but I just couldn't do it... I don't want to be seen. :D

Oh, no, don't kill it. That would make me very sad to hear...It is just a bird....You are a big person...What kind of bird is it? Maybe it just wants to play with you.

Swooping and beak snapping isn't on my list of things to do to play with me. My marbles aren't heavy enough to kill it, it'll just give it something to think about. ;)

Last year there was a mockingbird that kept attacking the mirrors on my truck. It did this for weeks before it finally disappeared.

I don't know what type of bird it is. It's black but not a raven and not a crow. Just a piece of shit that's decided to ambush us. :cuss: Normally I wouldn't care but I'm taking this as a direct threat to my property. It's attacking us on our land, not the road, not the neighbors, just our land. Not attacking me really, just my dog who's so happy to be outside he doesn't even notice but this thing comes close and snaps. Like a magpie! and I won't let it take his eye out or tear his ears. Not on my watch! :toetap05:

I will give it until the weekend to stop or go away. But if it's being a jerk come Saturday morning, and I will be up and out before anyone else :D then I'm going to start firing some shots back. :D

I can only suggest it's had a late, ridiculously late, stupid late even.. mating season.

It sounds like it was attacking itself in the mirror....My two little birds would talk to themselves in the little mirror in the cage...as they think it is another bird...and peck at it..to see how real it is. I think my two little birds have figured it it is just a mirror now, as they don't do that so much anymore and they have each other to talk to all day anyway, which they do... :D

I am trying to think of a reason a liitle bird would want to swoop at and beak at a big dog and a big person, and when I see big...yes, in relativity to the bird....and i cannot think of why.....maybe the bird is insane or something. I know in the animal kingdom...animals can have all kinds of problems...like people....I have no idea why it would and cannot think of anything....maybe it is a frustrated bird....wish i knew....sounds strange what it is doing.

awwww now. I think the bird is just wanting to be a part of Irmi's wonderful pet menagerie. :)

This bird is alone in the world... :-( He is trying to make new friends. I'd think y'all could be good buddies...he is just diving at y'all to have some fun. Birds just wanna have fun. :flyhigh: :rastana: :D :)

He needs Irmi to toss some old bread on the grass (or where ever) and maybe set him up a birdbath...which would look GREAT in your yard, Irmi!!! :)

Just think..this blackbird could be sent by one of your Dudes/Dudettes On High....just a thought. :)
