Around here in upstate SC, there are a number of public Oktoberfest venues advertised...I guess you'd call it.

In an adjacent county here is a fairly "big" one that draws a fairly large crowd (for here) near the university.

 

any chance you are near greenville? i would expect them to have a pretty big octoberfest showing. i guess near colleges it shouldnt be surprising. microbreweries would sponsor an octoberfest so if you are near one then it is expected,

 

I sure am near Greenville! That is one of the places I was thinking of...but the big one I was talking about is around Walhalla.

2 days ago here (in the upstate) there was a 14 yr old boy in Townville, SC that first killed his father at home (multiple shots it said). Then took his truck and drove it to a nearby elementary school and drove into the gate of the school play area. He shot 2 kids - 1 in the foot and one in the leg, hitting that kid's femoral artery and he shot a teacher. The child shot in the leg died today. The other child and the teacher are alright (physically) as in their injuries were non life-threatening.

Everybody is in shock...y'all can google it.

Nobody knows why this happened, not even a hint but he supposedly had been expelled from a middle school for carrying a hatchet to school...other than that, his parents and/or family are saying "this was out of character".

Its very hard to wrap my mind around this.

 

i hate that out of character saying. that is said by ignorant people. the fucker carried a hatchet to school...i wouldnt say anything is out of character.
kid that bullied me as a kid threw a rock and hit my head. blood gushing from me, my sister comes with me and knocks on the door. mother says "not my tommy, he would never do that"

also reminds me of how you never hear anything bad said about people who died an untimely death. you hear all the great things about them....yeah he did a couple good things but you dont think he was all church and charity being in the crips do you?

 

The town I used to live in before I got this place had an Oktoberfest... every year it happened in September. That was a weird fucking town anyways.

had no interest of playing the walking dead game i just got but luckily i decided to hook up my ps3 now because of course there are downloads that i wont want to wait for later when i decide to sit down and play.

 

i am ready to order a truckload of water..

Yeah. Gone are the days you can buy a game and play that sucker straight away. They require gigs worth of downloads to fix ailing problems on release or new downloadable content.

What I've found lately is that paying online on my xbone and downloading the game seems to at least play straight away when they are released. Like download a pre-order etc.

 

when i hooked up my ps3 i didnt even plug in the ethernet cable, still had to download something. no idea what...as soon as it started downloading i walked away.

 

i feel guilty playing video games.....the time is too valuable to me
