I hate all that zombie crap. A bunch of weird people obsessing over the hypothetical end of the world like it's a fun time. Shows like that are just sad to me. The ones I have met sat around discussing the weapons they would make and things like that. I am sure they think my interests are stupid too.

My sister's problem student has gone even more crazy. Yesterday he hid behind a door and waited until she walked by. He threw the door in her face. He then ran into the hallway and began drinking the water out of the school's fish tank. He said he was doing this because he wanted to kill the fish but he could not reach them. So if they have no water they will die. Daily threats of bringing guns and knives to school so she has to pat him down everyday. And she teaches in a small farm town so I am sure plenty of guns are laying around.

She is trying to send him to what is basically a jail/school combination for kids. They are allowed to leave at the end of the day but the children don't get recess or any time out of the sight of adults. And someone like him probably would not be around any other kids either. But the mother is threatening to sue the school because all of this is my sister's fault and she does not follow his Individual Education Plan. That's the protocol for how to help a special education student. She claims he never does any of this at home and my sister makes him angry.

This is my sister's second year teaching and I feel so bad for her. She has told me she does not know what to and she feels like she can't help him. I want to tell this mother that she needs to teach her son that in life people might annoy you. You can't deal with it by slamming doors in their faces. I truly believe my sister cares and is doing everything she can. Her other students love her and since it's a small town they always see her in public. I've seen these kids run up to her and hug in the grocery store. She is not a bad teacher.

He's only 10 but I think this boy might be a lost cause. I misbehaved as a child sometimes too. But my teacher telling me I would not be allowed to watch the class rabbit over Christmas break kept me in line. I love animals I would have never tried to kill fish. I punched other boys who made me mad but animals were different.

Dang my heart goes out to your sister, Unan. When kids run up to a teacher in public and hug her, especially at 10 yrs old that is most certainly a kind, caring (and good) teacher. That is NOT someone who is causing problems for what sounds like a truly (already) disturbed child.

Even though it is a small town, I know they have to follow protocol in schools. That principal (and whoever) should be standing behind your sister. Good grief wth does this little boy have to do to demonstrate to the upper echelon there he has serious behavior and/or mental issues that need to be addressed. A child like that does NOT need to be mainstreamed in a classroom with other kids. My God...if he is so out of control that he is going to intentionally (and very carefully, it seems to me) plan out how to smack your sister, THE TEACHER, in the face with the door and then drink water out of the school fish tank (EWWWW! ) for the purpose of killing them , there is literally no telling what he might do to another kid that pissed him off.

About 100 yrs ago when I was going to school, NOBODY would ever have done that or they would have had their asses whipped at school and then handed to them again at home. For real.

This is one of those cases where the poor teacher's hands are tied and everybody/anybody else with authority is turning a blind eye.

And personally, I think the mother needs to have a meeting with someone like me . She needs the cold hard facts explained to her, as well as if he causes damage and/or harm SHE could be prosecuted. She would probably start singing a different tune then. I'm sorry and don't mean to sound hard, but the truth is there are some kids that need psychiatric counseling and home-schooling for other people's safety.

 

as a mom, if a teacher is SO mean, and SO abusive to your student then you have to do the mom thing and pull them out of school. ive considered it. my kid can be a real shit-head. i love him, but its hard to be smart in a room full of dumb. i get it. he has permission to hang out with the teachers and principal, the adults love him.

the kid probably only hates your sister so much because she tells him what to do, how to behave. enforces rules. obviously something he doesnt get at home.

parenting. parenting is what she is doing, and that is NOT HER FUCKING JOB.

that is so hard, and while this kid might have specific problems/ needs, the parenting problem in this country exacerbates them. watch tv, play video games, dont bother to make sure they do their homework. eat whatever you want, snack snack snack. oh, you arent hungry for dinner. i wont make you eat it. you dont like the way your (insert vegetable here) looks, i wont make you eat it. you are probably still hungry, have desert anyway. here here, have what you want take what you want, ill buy you that toy, that phone, that tablet, you are so special and perfect and....

now you think you are entitled to another persons body, because they cant tell you no. no one has ever told you no.
now you think that you will get to keep your job when you dont show up, show up late, or otherwise follow rules.
now you think you dont deserve to go to jail for stealing that "whatever" because you DESERVE it, you are SPECIAL. you are entitled.

i see it and am trying to stem the tide in my own 10 year old. "nothing ever goes my way" "i never get what i want" (which is total BS, i love to give this kid stuff)
i told him that most of the time things dont go the way we want them to. but only he can make the choices that increase the chance that he gets what he wants. if he does his chores and does his homework, why would i say no to video games? or playing outside? i have had to tell him so many times that i dont like punishing him, but i will do it, because thats my job. i can't NOT punish him. i tell him every time that its not TO be mean, its to raise him into a functioning adult. and i tell him that his peers are not getting the same lessons.

tell your sister i wish her strength, and that she is not alone in dealing with moron parents.

 

This weekend is the weekend I go out to Oktoberfest with the visitors so we have a big bus and then we all get driven into Munich and back out every day with the guests and we book a pavilion or beer hall and we reserve a big table for them and we go in and we drink. and eat. and party.

I more so enjoy the final week of Oktoberfest because all the idiots are usually not around much anymore.

 

wish they had octoberfest...or celebrated st. patty, or anything fun really. pretty much all the gatherings around here are at the fire-station or at a church

 

I thought kind of everywhere in the western world Oktoberfest was celebrated even if only for the weekend? With German food and drink and music?? This time last year we were getting ready for America and googling things to do even late October I remember seeing Oktoberfest weekends. We never did anything like that though except a couple German bier garten pubs.

Oktoberfest here though HUGE with its own carnival rides, and big roller coasters. Every second third stand sells beer then the beer halls and then more carnival rides and games, big dancing areas, more beer. More food. More games.

I even think a few years back some girl was going around giving blowjobs to guys if they let her film it.

But the crowd ebs and flows. Some weeks and weekends you don't want to be here, mainly when the Italians come up for the weekend can be really bad and get messy. We always tell our guests to miss Italian week. They come over by the bus load and they just can't handle their liquor like the rest of us. Fights. Rapes. Bloody Italians!

 

Although I don't take too many photos of myself, this time of year I probably end up as a picture on 100 different Facebook profiles as the days wear on and more and more people ask if can have a photo with us.

Yesterday I found like a beanie but was a Viking helmet with two long braided pony tails with the horns on the helmet. My Laura bought a wolfs head beanie with the front legs and paws come down her chest. It's really adorable. so we've taken a few photos already or been in them. plus our boss always takes a lot of photos of the group. I'll get some photos so you know what Oktoberfest is all about for my work in particular.

 

We've a pretty cute Asian girl with us this weekend.... maybe I'll post her later. oh she's already in there. Lol. So this is basically let's say our bench reserved. And all of pisshead guests. and we just drink beer and pork knuckle, all day in here with the same 10 songs by the band. Then when enough is enough, off you go outside for the festival.

 

they might have specials on german beers and shit like that up in the city but thats an hour away from me. you got to go to major cities to find the real octoberfest parties....or you have to just get lucky and live near a german settled town....i am in the most english settled area in the usa though
