Buddy told me about a Kia minivan approximately 2005 I am waiting for the details and a picture to be texted to me… His boss is one of the dairy farmers here on the island and picked up the span cheap at a farm auction… I think he wants $12-$1500

Cut up some more metal for the woodhauler trailer thingy...

It is gonna be a double axle as was originally planned... I've got two more wheels ordered from Tractor Supply, and got another piece of 1" round bar stock. (although this piece is a tad short I can make it work... sort of) New wheels don't match the ones I have but tire diameter is close enough. This thing's going to be a kluge anyways. Just as long as it can haul logs I'll be satisfied.

Anyways... The second frame cross piece is welded into the trailer bed and one of the axles is mocked up... (The axle that I had to make wider,) Welding went better today. Not great, but better.

 

i find stick welding is hard to get right if there is any little breeze (i dont have an indoor area weld in)

 

I've been welding in the garage, even though there's not enough room. Too damp and cold to do anything outside.

Kia used to be crap but they have gotten better. I think Hyundai owns them now. Might be a good cheap ride.

i didnt know hyundai owned any part of it but according to google they bought a hair over one third ownership of kia in 2014
