I really do love bread. lol I KNOW if I just cut bread out of my diet, I would probably lose all extra weight...but I'd be INSANE. So what good would it be to be slim and trim if I'm also crazy as a loon and mean as hell. :23:

    :D

I wish I had enough weed to experiment and make canna butter. As it is, I have plenty to make my firecrackers, which I have the amount down to an art/science...no loss whatsoever and I know just how much I should use.

Maybe one day there will be a winning lottery ticket with my name on it (or some land is sold).

Now that I'm up in the middle of the night after pulling my 8:30 to 1:30 sleep, I can't get my mind off of (perfect) French toast with honey. :chef:

I'm reading about competitive anxiety, especially in billiards.
So I get the shakes and all. But I don't get some other stuff like, apparently competitive anxiety can make you lose complete focus on the task ahead but that's where I like to shine. It's my strategy game, I love the chess game. So that's a good sign. But it also says to study my opponents for their own tells and it says basically that anxiety is self doubt and dread that I'm not going to perform the next shot how I need to. So I need to forget about it, stop thinking about it and just play my game. Says most of the battle in a pool game is against yourself not the other person, what you want to do is aggravate the opponent so that they basically beat themselves and I've seen this many times, from others but mostly myself.

Probably definitely over thinking but it's come to that time when I'm about to get ready to drive out and I'm all nervous. Eep.

Start willin' us along Lynn. :)

So I just have to play myself today. No point worrying about what he's going to do, I cannot control that, I can only control how I play and if I allow myself to play how I play, then I'mma be right in there with a chance. I know this much. :)

    Go Irm!!

Back when I used to shoot pool on a regular basis, I always felt like when I lost I had beat myself. 9 times out of 10 that was the truth too.

I remember the hardest shot for me was (and will always be) running that cue ball straight down the rail, to get a ball straight in. Just dang straight down. I STILL don't know why that was such a hard thing for me. WAY back when I was a bartender, for the 1st couple of hours hardly anybody ever showed, and I would practice until my shoulder would hurt, 6 days a week. lol I was more able to consistently get that shot in then; but still it drove me crazy that such a simple shot would cause me such aggravation.

For sure, notice what the others do...and I recall it making me happy and/or better or more confident (or a combination of all that) when I could see I was getting to my opponent. I would simply have to let that soak into my consciousness and then get back to myself, my game and playing/doing what I knew I could do.

    Go Irmi!!!

Just checked the weather. It's supposed to rain all day..... until Saturday.

Doubt I'll get any work done on the car. Or that trailer... or anything else outside.

We just had a couple days of pretty much constant rain. Today looks like it will be pretty decent. Small chance of a few drops in the afternoon, but mostly sunny and supposed to get up to 20 degrees.

Ah, we made a good come back but lost 13-11. So close. And i played so well too scoring 3/4 wins, 75% and the only game I lost, I sunk the 8 but the cue came across and went in too. That was my first game. I should have won it. And it would have put us 12-12 and a playoff. But we crawl back from down 12-8 to 11-12. I got us to 11 and then we ran out of luck. =[

Still a good season and I'm very proud of myself. Did everything I told myself. :)

You do always beat yourself when you lose at pool. If you miss a shot you can't blame anyone else. I guess that is unless the other person never gives you a chance. Only saw that once in real pool and once in video game pool.

I guess it works both ways. Like, I can't control how the opponent plays and I also can't control how my own team plays... now I just feel like they've let me down. I did my part... :D

Don't feel bad about losing to a pool shark. A large number of them play pool for their own self worth and are extremely particular about who they play, because they don't take losing too well and measure their self worth over the next man they can beat.

Then you've got your guys who refuse to play unless there's money on the table. These people tend to rise under the pressure.

Me, I just enjoy the game. I like using my head, I love the strategy, I love putting someone in a bad position and watching them faulted getting out handing me a victory. It's just so fun and addictive but like Pengerz says, it's all on me to perform. Maybe that's why it's so stressful to me? And even as a team you really only concern with how you play. I won 3/4 so I done my job, just wish some of the others won just one more game we would have tied for a playoff. One of our middle order cuesman also didn't show up yesterday and he's good enough for one win. =[

And another thing I managed to achieve yesterday was getting myself into the zone. That is, like a meditated state. And I got very close. I remember taking a shot and I was thinking about the shot and I could see my Laura watching me from the distance and the crowd watching me and I just never let that sink in. I struck perfect and the balls followed. When you miss a shot obviously you come out of the meditated zone, but after I was at the table for maybe 2-3 shots I definitely found it. :)
