The system is crazy. People seem to think that working for the government is a bed of roses. They should try it some day. A few years ago, ministers were being taken to court for fiddling expenses. In truth, due to their work load, most of them were just claiming the same as last year, plus a few percent.
Our local MP, never seems to get an evening to himself and last year he had a teenage mother and her crying baby on his doorstep at 3am, after her landlord had evicted them onto the streets (with the help of a couple of nightclub bouncers). He had to put her into a hotel and pay for it out of his own pocket. Events such as this happen on an almost daily basis somewhere in the UK.
I wonder if the reporters who stirred all this up would enjoy an audit and having to explain how they justified selling a picture of a celebrity that took 10 seconds to shoot was sold to a newspaper for £10.000. Perhaps the poor guy had to stand in the rain for an hour waiting for her to stagger out of the nightclub. LMAO.
All that I know, is that if I was audited in that way, I would be posting this message from my prison cell. Hopefully they would put everyone who I have worked with over the last 40 years in the same cell block. LOL. Meanwhile, Jane who got home from work at 8,30 last night after 12 hours in her government office is not allowed to claim overtime.
