I'm honestly thinking about it. For more than a few reasons.

I may have been born here but I'm a Yankee at heart. I was raised by one so I never felt like I belonged here. I just don't fit in with the people and I don't even like the beach.

 

How ironic, because I'm the exact opposite of that. Born a Yankee, but fit well down here. I'm serious! I feel more excepted down here than I did up north. I kid you not.

 

It happens. People move for work or partners, etc. But I think most people move to find somewhere to fit in.

 

I didn't think I fit in at first, but the south grew on me, over time.

 

To each his own I've been living here my entire life and I'll never get used to the heat.

 

Have you ever experienced the cold in the north??

 

That's another reason why I'm not going back up there. Snow up to your neck....literally.

 

I actually was just in the northish. I was in Iowa in May and it was surprisingly still pretty cold there. I went to New York a few times because I have family up there. It was mostly during the summer with the exception of one time. I believe it was around October when it was just starting to get cold. I loved it but I'm sure it gets way worse lol but I can always put layers on. I can't take off my skin when I get too hot.

 

Try the dead of winter in either place. Temperatures in the negatives, things coming to a complete standstill when snowstorms take a dump on you. You have to know *that* kind of cold, and it just miserable.

 

I'm sure it sucks in its own way. I would just like to see snow sometime before I die at least. I don't know why you want all us southern girls to stay down here anyway lol I feel like a sweaty pig in this heat. Not attractive.

 

When the pizza hasn't been cut properly and you go to pull out a slice and all the topping stays.

 

If we're not careful this will turn into another conversation thread.

More gripes about Florida. What makes me mad is that even though I live a few miles from the beach, if I hang anything outside to dry, no matter what I do, when I take it back into the house...It smells like fish.
