Some employers are just plain dickheads. They don't really give a flying you know what towards employees if they don't like them

Yep. And I left and this firm has been great in many ways, I’d say the pros outweigh the cons but this is behavior from a new-ish boss. I’m starting to wonder if there are any companies in corporate America that just offer a purely positive environment. Of course, there are ups and downs - no employer is perfect but I feel like a positive environment free of deceptive work behaviors and such is like finding a unicorn.

Sounds like you’ve found half of a unicorn. Lol I’ve been realizing that what I’m seeking, is just not reality, sadly. If a job has more pros than cons, best to just remain and deal with the cons. To clarify, this new-ish boss isn’t committing crimes or anything, I wouldn’t stand or stay for that, but it’s just unethical behavior that makes me lose respect for a person, you know?

 

I'm tired of packaging these days. The safety lid to my Starfuck's iced coffee is a pain in the ass to get over. Some brands of chips (crisps) are in bags that cannot be pulled open and must be cut with something. At least I don't have to bother with condom packaging anymore!

Sometimes it's because of taps that automatically stop!
I did it once but realised while I was drying my hands.
So often they're automatic stop ones I just automatically walked away.

 

In my youth those toilet bowls were far more rare (proof everything used to be better)! Another disadvantage is that your production falls right in the water instead of on that little plateau.. which makes looking at and admiring the whole thing more difficult.

 

Yeah, and 1.8L per flush...what's up with that?

 

I get it, but they have to physically turn these on.

 

What's weird is the automatic ones seem to run far longer that anyone needs, wasting water. I'm walking out the door by the time it finally shuts off.

 

So turn it off manually before you leave !!! - hardly rocket science is it ???
