When you find out via the local newspaper that somebody's place got home invasion in a nearby street which is 1500 metres away walking distance. You just know that shit is getting real again.

How are you supposed to protect yourself from a home invasion, with multiple intruders? Are you telling me you can't do a damn thing and just let it happen? Can you knife 'em up?

 

Call the cops mate. That's all you can do

 

Get a couple of cross bows. And, maybe a steel boomerang.......

 

Or move away from that area.

 

You'll be dead before the cops come. Do you have any ounce of fighting spirit within you, or are you just going to lay down and die until the cops finally show up?

I had to convince my in-laws that their neighborhood in Orlando had become a heroin supply depot. Their opinion was that "nobody's gonna run me off my land". As if it was a concerted effort from some real estate baron. Or maybe because it was surrounded by cheap apartment complexes that were built in the early 70s. I had to convince them that a disorganized army of junkies looking for anything that can be pawned for cash, are not "neighbors".

And this was after they had been robbed, she was STILL denying the shithole that whole neighborhood had become. So we packed them up and moved them to the hills of west Georgia. They're much happier now and haven't been robbed in 7 years!

 

Nobody's putting up with that bullshit in the west hills of Georgia. Most own a shotgun, or two...or three, LOL

 

Not if you call them early on if you notice something suspicious. Like dickheads hooning outside your place, Dickheads stalking, etc

It must be difficult living in constant fear

 

It should also be taken in account how often such a thing like a home invasion with multiple intruders occurs there. If there's little chance on it there's little need to take precautions like owning a gun (of course having some precaution against burglary/home invasion is only smart).

In certain areas being prepared for such a thing with guns is more like being a doomsday prepper.

 

Australia post advising me that a delivery i never made was coming to someone elses house.

 

We got that going on here too. Delivery folks that get ahead of themselves and misread addresses and drop off the wrong packages. We got someone else’s diapers the other day. One of our neighbors and a sheriff knocked on our door to tell us and claim the package.
