The Woodstock Generation?

  1. I was 13 years old in 1969. The organizers of the festival were able to hire a medical staff and EMT trainees to run the medical facilities at Woodstock. My sister was a nurse there and she was permitted to bring a guest for free to the festival. That was me.

Like the Burning Man festivals, I have always felt that the Woodstock festival got some very nasty reviews from the press, by writers who really did not understand the whole point of Woodstock because they did not attend as festival goers. People's expectations of what it might be like were completely unreal or did not exist.

Anyone else here attend at least one day of the festival? What did you think?
