    Equilibrium. I did not know it existed, until I found it at the library. Much better than The Matrix.

    The Man with the X-Ray Eyes (1963) starring Ray Milland He wants to extend the range of human vision, perhaps look directly into the human body
    to diagnose diseases that standard X-rays can’t reveal but got more than he bargained for.

    In the final scene he rips his eyes out.

    Horror fiction writer Stephen King said he talked with someone involved with making the film and in the final scene after Ray Milland rips his eyes out
    he was going to say ‘Oh, My God I Can Still See, I Can still See” but it was considered too horrifying at the time and would have sent people running out of the theatre

    I started watching the latest remake of The Great Gatsby. Huge production values and the use of monologue was stylish touch of keeping closer to the novel from an often stated unfilmable novelist. However, I did not finish watching it as I find the idea of a man stealing another man's wife rather distasteful.
