EPIC (2013) It has scenes that remind me of other movies, like The Ant Bully, Jurassic Park, Lord Of The Rings and The Time Machine.

The Colossus Of New York (1958) A scientist is killed. His brain surgeon father removes his brain and keeps it alive. With the help of his other son, they create a robot to house it.

Alien 3 - Original theatre version.

Now I'd seen the special edition so many times that this was the first time in a decade or more I'd actually seen the theatre release, so this was more of a special edition as the story actually did differ significantly enough from the directors cut which I'm so used to.

I prefer the directors cut though. The birth of the alien is much more fitting from a cow than a small dog which I had to laugh as it was bigger than the dog itself so I dunno how it stayed in the dog. Plus they missed out a lot of dialogue from end conversation with the real Bishop and also completely skipped the part where the insane criminal unlocked the alien from the vault they'd trapped it in (which wasn't shown in this movie)
