VHS.....hmmmm....

Man Arrested in North Carolina for Allegedly Failing to Return VHS Tape Rented in 2001

3/25/16 A man has been arrested in North Carolina for allegedly failing to return a VHS tape he'd rented nearly 15 years ago, PEOPLE confirms.

On Tuesday, James Meyers, 37, was pulled over by police as he was taking his daughter to school, according to court documents. Officers ran his license and learned an active warrant had been issued for Meyers's arrest.

After dropping off his daughter, Meyers turned himself in to police and was booked on a single charge: failure to return rented property.

In late 2001, Meyers allegedly rented a copy of the universally panned Tom Green film Freddy Got Fingered. Since it was released, the movie – about a struggling cartoonist who is forced to move back in with his parents – has attained cult status

I started How Green is My Valley but put it on hold until my wife wants to see it. I think I've seen it before but it beat out Citizen Kane for an Oscar so I'll check it out again.

Last night I watched Mr. Holmes. It's about a 92 year old Sherlock trying to remember why he gave up detective work and retired to the country side to tend bees.
The Gandalf guy gave a very good performance as Sherlock, the movie wasn't bad.

That is funny....I have been thinking alot about bees lately, MeAgain.....and how important they are....was going to make bees as my avatar today, but picked yellow parrot instead for now....bees may come next, though....and I have an idea of a painting I want to paint featuring bees.

I will be going to see the new Superman/batman movie maybe tonight, and if not tonight....during the week.....I do not watch too many movies here at home anymore, and I cannot remember the last one I watched was...probably Stephen King...Children of the Corn.

I like movies with alot of heart, and used to watch TNT old movie classics ....but not so much these days.

Yes well the bees are beeing attacked by the wasps. Sort of a metaphor for our times I would think. The workers being fed upon by the white Anglo Saxon protestants.

In the Heart of the Sea

http://www.hipforums.com/forum/topic/472346-in-the-heart-of-the-sea/

Got the DVD yesterday and enjoyed it again.

This is the backstory to the American classic novel, Moby Dick by Herman Melville and is set in 1850 Nantucket when he interviews Thomas Nickerson, the last survivor of the ill-fated whaling ship Essex, which rumor had was destroyed by a great white Sperm Whale.

An excellent and entertaining movie directed by Ron Howard.

Unless you have read the book, I am mot sure how anyone watching the movie would understand much of the story. The BBC TV series was ok.

I don't read many novels, hardly any. The movie was okay, I'd seen it before.
