Last night I watched BOULEVARD, which was Robin Williams last movie he made. What a pathetic end to a great career. One of the worst movies I ever watched.

The movie really showed how UN-gay homosexuals are, or at least that one. I think the writer of the story must be clinically depressed. And I wonder how much Williams depression had to do with his playing the part.

    A very ugly movie.

Haunting Of Winchester House. Cert 18

A family moves into a mansion to act as caretakers, but when a malevolent force abducts their daughter they discover the house deserves it's reputation as one of the most haunted places in America.

This really is a quality horror film in every way, certainly spooked me in places.

I actually thought of people from this forum while watching this movie. It isn't all bad, but there are parts that I liked that you might not like. I don't mind Will Smith but some people can't stand him, so I dunno. Try to find it for free if you can. I checked this out at my local library.

If you enjoy reading, I highly recommend checking out the book. Aside from a few characters and general concepts, pretty much the only thing the book and the movie have in common is the title. The book is a collection of short stories and it opts for more cerebral perspectives rather than a heavy dose of action like the movie.

    Joyride.

A mysterious woman checks into a seedy motel in an out-of -the-way little town. She drives a big black convertible that breathes power and speed.
The son of the hotel owner becomes obsessed with the car and steals it for a joyride.

This is quite a powerful film with some very good acting and although it's a little dated by today's standard of film production, proves to be a cracker of a thriller.

Cert 18 4:3 aspect ratio not widescreen.
