My boss wants me to go through workers compensation for my back. I'm not so sure. I'm not the type to ride the system because I injured myself on the job.

 

Workers comp isnt really riding the system though, its using an insurance your employer pays into specifically for things like this. At least that's how it works here, is it taxpayer funded there?
Employers take workers comp very seriously here, anywhere I've ever worked if someone gets injured on the job they're sent to the doctor the same day and the workers comp claim is opened immediately. A coworker of mine even got bit by a spider once at work and was sent to the doctor and a workers comp claim was opened lol

 

they tend to take a good hard look at you on workers comp but it also may open up the door to treatments that you are not aware of I see at least look into it but you have to prove to them that you were injured while working or were you working yeah I guess you were working when you were thrown off the horse

 

Being self employed or working for slave wages all my life I never had workers comp... Hurt yourself, wrap it up so you don't bleed all over everything and get back to work. Hurt your back, figure out another way to lift that stuff...


Not saying it's wrong to use it, just saying I never had it when I should have (could have) used it.

 

Anyways... Doing a rebuild on SUNN (0))) Beta Bass Head... (Number One) Replacing all the capacitors and checking everything else. These things are 40+ years old, I'm going to use them heavily and don't want to fry them. They are not easily replaceable. Caps dry out and either short out or change value to the point of frying other stuff. It's probably 50-60 pieces I need to remove and solder in new ones. I have two of these SUNN (0))) Beta heads. One a Bass and the other a Lead. (Number Two)... Lead has reverb, otherwise they are the same thing.

Nothing has ever sounded the same as a SUNN (0))) Beta amp....

 

If I was off work for period of time then I'd do workers compensation but not for 3 days it hardly seems worth the paperwork.

Boss is just looking after me in case one day I really can't work anymore. I know where he's coming from. If I apply then I'm recorded with a problem if it happens again I guess.

its to late. Ive not usually up this time. no reason, had a couple beers, same old sleepy tired but i didnt drink but 2 .. I dont think its much the booze i dont mind. its the tobacco.. for some reason brain goes straight to smoking and I can keep off the cigs for hours.. soon hit the drink oh lets smoke and smoke til we finally crash.. smoking is the dizzy.. and the vape will kill ya so you cant win..
