@morrow I think that larger dogs tend to have shorter life spans than small dogs... almost 8 is just not enough years.

Gray Socks, my avatar, had several massive seizures in one night that he never recovered from. I had to make the awful decision to help him over the Bridge. He was so miserable, he all but told me he couldn't stand living like that. He couldn't even stand up and walk without help, or go to the litter pan (without help) or anything. After several days, I knew what had to be done. It happened out of nowhere, and it still tears me up...and that was in 2011.

I remember seeing Sabaton with Amon Amarth a couple of years ago but the tour was called the last stand so I assumed they were old and not touring after this lol. So I didn't get into them. I think they're fantastic.
