I didn't know we did. I know we did last weekend.. But I still opened the shop on Monday so it was irrelevant.

I think "pat" is English and "pet" is American, as a kid I would have said pat, but now I say pet as do most people, one of those Americanisms that took over.

 

Soon I'll have three day weekends for the rest of the two months we're open : )

 

I must admit, @Driftrue...I thought that was funny and MILD compared to what I view as being "rude" to someone. I have experienced the rudest employees in the world - of course, don't think I didn't all but get UP IN their face and was rude as hell right back. What you did was almost nothing. Telling her you didn't sleep last night was smart, and I'm certain eased the situation.

But I still want to say: WHY THE HELL DON'T PEOPLE LISTEN WHEN TOLD SOMETHING?!? Like you TOLD her it needed 2 stamps and you affixed 2 stamps - so duh you dumbass woman - the dang postcard needed 2 stamps. smh

Haha, well yeah. I wasn't really feeling angry or unpleasant, so it probably didn't come off that way.. It more felt like for a moment I forgot I wasn't talking to a close friend or family member, where you're just like that but it's not really serious.

 

UK doesn't have much in the way of "bank holidays" anymore.. Christmas day and Easter Sunday.... but few are lucky to have bank holidays off... apart from banks.
Me... every day is a holiday... now I'm old!!! Lol

Getting ready for back to school, which means basically trying to learn 4 years of sociological theory before next week, since I'm doing a masters in sociology but don't actually have a background in it.

Growing up we had a class in school simply called social studies and I could not tell you even one sentence that was said in that class no clue can't remember gone
