there is another argument and that is the language impulse or the impulse to express vocally is older than the higher functions of the frontal lobe which lend organized reflection on those impulses. Remember the frontal area of the brain reduces acrltivity in the glossolalia speaker. It simply represents an earlier stage in the phyisical evolution of language refecting an ancient awareness.

The title is Speaking In Tongues, and that ^ may be the technical word for it.

It is real. I have heard it; but I have not done it. I know this, biblically, if one is speaking in tongues, there should be another that can interpret for the one who is speaking, like telling the crowd, soandso is saying this...if a person is doing it is public.

In one's private prayer life, that is between them and God.

I do know that those that have "spoken" have no memory of what they have said, and ask what they said...it often seems followed by being that person tired, wanting to nap, etc. (almost like it is after one has a seizure)

I'll be honest, its scary to me.

i dont know what you mean by sense of rhythm, if you mean can i sense the pattern of the sounds and silences then yeah i think i can "feel" or "know" the pattern of music. sometimes the pattern is a non-patern, like in some radiohead songs that are deliberately off beat.

How about singing or dancing, do you have specific talent that you have developed to the point of skill.

And that in itself is a noble effort considering the amount of fear and choosing to ignore evidence that goes on in the world, i commend you. One of the things i do is not deny probabability so I am awake to any probable relevant expression.

I would get myself a drum and learn to keep a steady rhythm. This is just to get your self in tune so to speak. We operate at a certain megahertz which is synchronous with the earth itself. This is responible for the rythm of the heart beat or why it commonly steadys between 60 and 70 beats per minute.This is a primitive technology for getting in touch with the vibration of spirit and any one can do it.. No such thing as too old to learn.
