I missed y'all. I have gone nuttier than before without my internet!!! Monday and Tuesday, last week, we saw the DSL guy working at the top of the street. Tuesday the internet connection went down. We get internet from my son's house next door. His daughters had a softball game Tuesday night so he messed with it on Wednesday night after work. He thought it was his modem so he got a new modem on Friday because Thursday night was taken up by Pre-K Graduation. He kept talking to the internet service provider all this time and they kept telling him different things to try, telling him it was somewhere on his end. Finally, today they sent a tech out. It turned out that someone had climbed a telephone pole, cut the cable, climbed the other pole and cut that end of the cable. Evidently they thought it was copper, and not fiber optic, wanting to scrap the copper. When the repairman was out early last week repairing that, he plugged my son's connection into some other house's line.

 

Thanks, Orison. I just edited that post up there to tell what happened to my internet connection.
