Pro-marijuana video playing during NASCAR race this weekend (VIDEO)
By William Breathes in News, Say what? July 26, 2013

A massive video screen blaring an advertisement will great fans at the Brickyard 400 this weekend. I know that sounds redundant considering all NASCAR consists of is 150 m.p.h. ads for laundry detergent, travel sites and web hosting sites, but it's not for those products. Nor is it for the biggest NASCAR advertiser: the alcohol industry.

Instead, the huge video screen will be playing an advertisement for marijuana thanks to the Marijuana Policy Project. Specifically: the legalization and regulation of marijuana. It's all part of their ongoing guerrilla advertising campaign to get people to think about their recreational choices when imbibing. continued t.o.t.t.

Pro-Pot Ad Debuts At NASCAR Race

Indiana -- Spectators streaming into the NASCAR Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway starting on Friday might notice something a little different about one of the advertisements on screens nearby. The 30-second spot, seen above, might look and sound a lot like a typical beer ad, but it's actually promoting an alternative: legal marijuana.

The ad, titled "New Beer," is from the Marijuana Policy Project -- the nation's largest pro-marijuana legalization advocacy group -- and will air dozens of times beginning Friday. It marks the first time a pro-pot ad has been shown at a major sporting event, though technically it is being shown outside the stadium's grounds. continued huffpost

Pot ad outside Indy race snuffed out

Brickyard 400 race fans probably missed the public-service message that marijuana should be considered safer than alcohol.

A 30-second Marijuana Project Policy video that referred to pot as "the new beer" appeared for several hours Friday before it was pulled from a portable screen across from Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Few NASCAR fans seemed to notice the board, propped up on a trailer in front of the American Legion Speedway Post 500 lodge on Georgetown Road. That spot is typically flooded on race day. Three-day attendance estimates exceed 150,000.

But as soon as board operator Mike Estojak was told of the marijuana message, he made a call and said the ad would be yanked from the continuous video loop. The process proved to be complicated. The operator said it would be completed by the end of the day. full story usatoday

We need to update the word hypocrite since it is such a common practice among dung worriers.

Pharisee, actor, attitudinizer, backslider, bigot, bluffer, casuist, charlatan, cheat, con artist, crook, deceiver, decoy, dissembler, dissimulator, fake, faker, four-flusher, fraud, hook*, humbug, impostor, informer, lip server, malingerer, masquerader, mountebank, phony, playactor, poser, pretender, quack, smoothie, sophist, swindler, trickster, two-face, two-timer, wolf in sheep's clothing

Placing the ad in front of the American Legion lodge almost seems like a jab at them, when in a reality based world the placement was a good location if they included Ganja PTSD treatment for Vets in the ad. The AL should be placing the damn ads!

doesn't want you to know about cannabis
HEALTH officials in Geneva have suppressed the publication of a politically sensitive analysis that confirms what ageing hippies have known for decades: cannabis is safer than alcohol or tobacco.
