("...you should add pictures more often..." smiled the goblin first thanking deja for the interesting read, and back from the dentist too, then adding "...this should be my slack period of the year because the spring pollen turns my thought process to one of a skeleton thought process, thus you might see more posts posted by but they're mostly me editing on rather than producing something new now...")

repost from elsewhere, someone talking her past bad relationships

the goblin enjoyed xxxxx's post then, but wondered why anyone needs a relationship, if and where that price is just too high, saying "...surely if it is just someone to relate oneself to, then our internet is quite adequate in its way...", in fact, the goblin accepted his own situation as married with children for what it was then, but he also knew deep down that he could probably get by if it were otherwise, saying "...well, I guess I could live both in a relationship just as could get by by alone too, where neither are ideal, and where both are simply compromises with compensations..."

"Your editing on through the nose that be blew, is still the production and nous of the new, where always no matter the season or weather, the prevailing, more, ruling thought is 'as ever.'" laughed Dejavu in rhyming reply to his friend, having absolutely nothing against fleas repostings.

("...well this thread is pretty thorough in that rather than just adding super new stuff I'm actually reposting from a hidden store thread and choosing a different starting point for each forum in turn, so it's looks new to you now, something that I don't let on when elsewhere..." mentioned the goblin)

repost from elsewhere, the "what are you doing" thread

the goblin was wasting his life as usual just doing what his life wanted of him now, probably because he either didn't know what he really wanted or because he didn't know how to go about doing it, saying "...in fact, everything you have has you in return, so it's ironic then, isn't it, that one actually wants those loads that one then has to carry around..."

("...ah, another mouse, so now there are two of you on this forum here, where I promise to tread carefully then..." replied the goblin thanking the mouse now)

    repost from elsewhere

the goblin agreed that this internet could never be one's reality now, yet didn't one's dailylife too eventually go south, so the goblin simply explained "...whichever then, but one day we will be old and ugly in this dailylife because our aspirations are transient as if slipping through our fingers ever further away from our youthful prime...", in fact, the goblin's relationships had been physical once, but at this point he felt it was time to prepare himself for his "by self" future, admitting "...only young once I suppose, yet once was probably enough for me...", and yet, compared with his past the goblin's future looked bleak, continuing "...ah yes, guess one will just have to be brave it out, as one can't go back to being an innocent child or some willful youth, no, this wisdom eats through those happy aspirations of yesteryear and leaves sobriety in its wake, so I guess I'm just more awake and aware today towards my dailylife, hardly a fair compensation agreed but something still better than pure innocence I guess, yet one's persona upon forumland here does not go south, it goes where you would will it by the practice of your pen..."

("...perhaps one can only stay oneself here if one remains anonymous..." suggested the goblin thanking the second mouse, adding "...the choice of wendy or peter pan then, where wendy ages because she belongs to dailylife and where peter pan never ages because he belongs to here, thus here I remain anonymous throughout forsaking fame and fortune...")

the goblin was thinking of that term "moron" knowing that most people would equate it as a medical term of someone with down's syndrome perhaps, thinking wrongly that the word had originated from that source then, where in fact, it was a term had been invented in 1910 by henry h goddard, a leading advocate for the use of intelligence testing in societal institutions including hospitals, schools, the legal system and the military no less, "...ah, the advocate of eugenics in america now..." started the goblin, continuing "...established the intelligence testing program on ellis island in 1913 too, not forgetting the immigration act of 1924 it lead to, and president calvin coolidge's comment upon signing it of "america must remain american"...", but the goblin also remembered this was universal here, not just germany or america now, everywhere had some sort of segregation in place, "...goddard also publicly supported race-group differences on army IQ tests (army alpha and beta) during world war I, and claimed that the results showed that americans were unfit for democracy even..." breaking off to conclude "...the paper was then used repeatedly to defend the various "scientific racism" movements worldwide, of which one country in particular latched onto its findings with a vengeance and evolved it even beyond those then norms of "institutionalization" and "sterilization" here, so in fact, the first victims of the n*zies were these very same morons then, as if once more, some slippery slope, which had started with a gentle plausible curve of well meant good intentions that is, had then turned evil beyond imagination here..."

"...friendless is not friendless, for jesus is your friend..." repeated the goblin, adding "...well, and where not, there's that thoughtful nigirian guy who keeps emailing you that that you have inherited a fortune, oh and his friend too who wants to do wonders for your lovelife with viagra pills, and let's not forget those banks that want to loan you money, and yet others who offer holidays and all types of things, so there you go then, you can't complain that you're lonely ever again, as yes, "this Internet is all about bringing people together..."

"...naah, I haven't mentioned the holocaust, nor faulted anyone neither, as for the topic, that post was simply that of eugenics and the liquidation of persons deemed of low IQ here, so please don't read into it stuff I haven't written there..." mentioned the goblin "...besides, I think it's clear that the nazis would have done what they did regardless of whether IQ testing method came from america now...", no, the problem for the goblin here was more one of those intentions again, where certain ideas can look so beneficial at the outset only to lead to dire consequences later, where for example a parallel could be drawn with something like the kirkpatrick doctrine and the neoconservative doctrine, in that they too suggest that a beneficial end justifies any means to it, and then the goblin just voiced "...oh yes, those two again, the former being "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" and the latter being "divide and conquer" here, and a fat lot of good they do any country that tries to depend on either of those two then, since former results in a "pact with the devil" and the latter results in"mistrust all round"..."

the goblin was simply recounting here, the scene today of two men dragging the dead stag by their ropes across the snow, and how a clear trail of red marked their slow progress, and of course the people on the mountain-train looking on were so dismayed at it all, so the goblin had to explain something to them, saying "...folks, it's the hunting season where only the males are killed, and where those trappers, since there are no big predators left in the alps today, play the part of the wolves now...", in fact, it was almost too easy to forget that most of the animals of the forest met their deaths at the jaws of other animals, adding "...oh yes, nature might be beautiful and picturesque to look at, but it is still cruel all the same..."

so the new year just had the goblin noticing that the distance between his children and himself had narrowed over the years now, though not so much in thoughts or emotions here, more simply that they had aged, as the goblin had aged too, as if mirroring one another then like a tadpole that slowly resemble its parent frog then, "...no, not that I want it or them to be otherwise, only that those little children of my early years have long gone now, and it was a horrible shock to wake up one morning and actually notice how wide that gap had grown between the little ones, where one once had at every step on the way to explain, and even fight, to get them to be responsible here, and these responsible near adults now that need no prompting about their future..." mentioned the goblin at a time of year where these differences just become more evident it seems, adding "...so the shock gives way to an acceptance but the past is always bitter/sweet is it not..."

repost from elsewhere, the "what are you doing" thread

the goblin was trying to do "elsewhere" again, though he could never escape for long it seems, saying "...well, that the trouble with life, just never a good daydream when one needs one...", outside the relentless cascading snow witnessed away the last remnants, of the previous year, only to add slush to a hard wet pavement below, somehow death by understatement seemed to sum up the goblin's overall attitude towards his passing years at this point, where those positive hopes of yesterday had become these negative fears of today, adding "...well if I was ever drunk with christmas past, I have never been soberer than now in this new year...", just that the present seemed to ushering in year that seemed more ominous then those previous

"...naah, I don't eat children, they don't have enough meat on them, I prefer american housewives myself..." replied the goblin, adding "...in fact, they often come ready larded, usually with a grocery cart too, but I am not really fussy where food is concerned, now if you have never seen an american housewife before...", whereupon the goblin in his kindness quickly attached a picture of one for future reference here

the goblin loved his wife and children then, but at times reminded himself of something, really that there were no certainties beyond that of one's eventual decline and inevitable exit here, saying "...any one of us could be next, to die or to suffer something that is...", in fact the goblin's workmate, the one who was so looking forward to his retirement this year had just had a cerebral hemorrhage, so the goblin simply counted his blessings once more, repeating "...say what you will, to me at least to live is to win, and yet, to be able to post too, well that kind of doubles that winning in my view, where neither one's dailylife, nor this internet for that matter, owes one anything, and perhaps by just reminding oneself of this simple fact from time to time makes our short duration together all the more important..."

"...agreed, by now I'm mostly aware of my level of intelligence and of my thoughts too, though I still don't know all my thoughts for sure nor what they mean until I word them to the slot here..." ventured the goblin who used a mirror to see how he looked, and this slot here to see how he thought then, yet either way he agreed that one could go through life without writing out one thoughts and it wouldn't matter one bit, guessing that it was just an individual preference then, so no, to the goblin it wasn't so much his level of intelligence, as the actual pinning down his own opinions that mattered to him, since holding to any opinion was in itself optional, only that his writing it out become something akin to committal here, something where one is exacting one's own opinions to oneself both clearly and openly, whereas by comparison leaving those thoughts vague in one's mind was noncommittal to say the least, smiling "...so to write is to exact me to myself here, no big deal really, but perhaps the only deal going..."

Dejavu could see no inevitable exit. He certainly saw signs of declining life, even in his merry self, though that was only because the world owed itself a living but did not yet altogether know it. He was up for eternity, even if it killed him. High, not till he died, but so he mightn't have to die, seeing that a reason seemed to be required by the ants hopped up on storing acorns for the winter of their discontent. "Hi!" he put in, of his own accord.

It never occurred to him to want to be born quite content in an amniotic sea thinking there is nothing we would rather be yet be that it be being born remains a timely surprise. Perhaps those thinking themselves up for eternity are just up for more of the same while imagining eternity timeless and not perceiving eternity endless time. Our friend imagining eternity timeless is simply not up to the occasions of life, birth and death playing out in a timely fashion timing being the beat of the heart and the rhythm of the breath. The rhythms of life are syncopated and the seemingly off beat is bound by strong harmony and between each beat and each inhalation and each exhalation is an indefinite period...

("...good to see you posting here again..." went the goblin enjoying the reads, adding "...perhaps the reality is that all one ever has is a little window of time called "now" then, and that the rest is either gone by or unarrived as yet...", yet the goblin couldn't live for now neither, for now never stayed still in the passage of things)

"...it's as you say then, that one does have opinions that one doesn't realize that one has them, or those that one doesn't want to face, yet, when someone writes, he addresses those opinions then, bringing them to the fore, that is why writing is so exacting in my view..." replied the goblin, though what the goblin was referring to by "optional" went back to something he had written years before then, a simple line that he remembers still to have a well formed opinion is one of life's last luxuries, in that one didn't need to write out one's opinions now, where no one was asking one to do so neither, in fact most people got by without writing things down out of themselves, where posters differed from other idle thinkers in that respect, for they mapped out their opinions so to speak in their posts where what they wrote was just out there then

"...ah, agreement there then, simply one can have one's own opinion, or just accept those opinions of others without holding to any opinion at all, the reason why forming one's own opinion is optional in my view..." mentioned the goblin, adding "...but sometimes, in order to avoid being labeled opinionated one falls into that other trap of becoming unopiniated, as in thinking it to be cool to hold no opinion at all then, well until one realizes that one has simply swapped one's homework for ignorance here...", in fact, most facets of the goblin's dailylife seem to fall into this first category of mere acceptance here, in that it was far easier for him not to openly question the status quo with its set ideas there rather than drawing attention to himself by pointing out its failings, ah but on forumland it was another matter entirely as his anonymity gave him the freedom to speak out

The dope! thought Dejavu to himself, though not so much that it didn't make it onto the screen here. "Perhaps, yes perhaps thedope. But what does it matter when eternity is as you have suggested, not timelessness, but time?!" thedope had once told Dejavu that we die because we're born, a lie which had made him laugh not a little, and now he was here being told death is an occasion of life! It was enough to make a grown man fly. "I've grown on my own!" he laughed. "There was simply no-one else to do it for me thedope." Dejavu was born to be wild, it never having occurred to him to be born at all. In return for the eternal return, he had decided to stay. Living in the moment, living for it was something he found he did whether he wanted to or not. "To the future!" He toasted, with whoever joined him in the thought. The future, mistakenly thought to be an artifact by his friend thedope, drew his desire to create. "Funny to think it takes imagination to go on living, but that's just where evolution has happened to have left us... that is, to itself!"
