("...one extracted while the other one isn't playing up for now, but will be hurting sure enough at some later point..." replied the goblin back into posting again, adding "...been doing my blog mostly, the new year has my mind turned backwards, though the trouble is that I should be looking forward at what comes next on the economic front and on the world scene too, only that I'm not ready yet, a few more distractions please...")

"...well hurry up then with your distractions..." smiles Jats drinking in the new year with a rather fine merlot that was disgusting with the onion bhajis yet is a treat with the cheese now "...interest rates are going up here, that we know, inevitable, so here we go now with the austerity measures kicking in along with the welfare reforms that have massaged the unemployment figures, and then hey presto, the peasants revolt and are squashed to applause cheerleaded by ourderamedia and everything's alright again..." sneers Jats "...along with kicking all the immigrants out, it's like someone’s itching for a fight or something here in little england..." shrugs Jats safe and sound in the shire knowing they'll never come this far surely and then laughs ironically as a few drunks amble noisily by the little cottage by the canal "...oh yes, and happy new year then..." whispers the chameleon keeping his head down as usual

slowly the goblin settles down and remembers this little slot here again that he had left behind once more through the distractions of his dailylife, not that he hated his dailylife that is, only that his dailylife seemed to ask for everything and always from him, "...all this demand upon me is its need then, not really mine here..." voiced the goblin probably aware that the little time he puts into "facing the slot" like this was perhaps all that actually set him apart from his nagging dailylife in each passing moment

    repost from elsewhere,

the goblin watched on, it seemed that most of the issues mentioned in the media today were quite newsworthy in themselves yet distractions all same, stuff used to avert one's attention from what was actually happening around one, repeating “...so look closer at the news then, and simply ask yourself which if any relates to you now, notice too, how much they're is not telling you about america's being bailed out by china, for who holds most of those treasury bonds now I mean, in that china has needed to prop up the dollar, but only for as long as that helps china, times admittedly are changing though, and with endless liquidity the dollar is fast becoming a liability to hold isn't it...", whereupon the goblin, seeing that they wanted to turn everyone's attention to north korea here, simply wondered which country north korea was actually entirely dependent upon china now, just another distraction then, china's sphere of interest again...", whereupon the goblin turned to africa, somewhere where none of the western powers ever wanted to get involved knowing that it meant indefinite sustained commitment here, smiling "...guess that leaves the issue of iran but iran is not really the US's problem, by proximity it is more israel's problem, yet it serves both for the US's and for iran's interests to continue saber rattling like this, that is, since it diverts the attention of their people from the actual financial downturn of their countries...", simply the goblin noticed that the dollar's worth had fallen to about half of what it had been ten years ago, asking "...ah yes, lots of things happening in the news lately, but honestly, does anyone see something more imminent, and of greater importance too, than this dollar devaluation as the only real event of our age, simply from this stems the rest..."

"...hard one to prove without breaking my anonymity now..." replied the goblin, adding "...so do I know those people who claim to know me here I wonder, that is when I don't even know myself now, so perhaps then the only answer that I can give you honestly is that I befriend others while letting them choose how far they will befriend me in return, but being anonymous I never test their friendship, and in any case, in the end one's journey to self is one's own alone, it is awareness rather than happiness, just oneself rather than one's facebook..."

    ...a repost back then...

"...ah but you need a war, anyone will do, lets try Iran then next, can't have those boys coming back from Afghanistan and Ayeraq and causing havoc back home when they realise other than Ma and Pa you don’t give a fuck, plus the wife has been fucking your brother while you were gone and it's just their job too, like yours but with a gun the lucky barstewards, and how else is America going to balance the books, war is good, war is fuel, and printing more dollars just aint cutting it no more..." as Jats sees more fear being dripped and dropped in here and there "...and so when then the next terrorists suddenly have Ayeranian connections y'all remember that all we did is whine about it on the internet then, for the spice must flow..." chuckles Jats while going through the last census to retrieve some data and working out that for peanuts in comparison to a 100th of the military budget he could put solar panels on every roof in his little shabby market town overnight, wouldn't that be a sight, giving people more money stimulating the economy, and if it caught on the whole of England could be carbon positive in a year just harnessing all that free power up there Jats ponders thinking of the consequences of being out of the oil loop and wondering what kind of humans wouldn't want that now, if it was possible, only animals surely, before going off to chop wood and not think about it then

("...I had forgotten this place, and lost the link to it too, so thanks for the notification as my editing isn't finished..." mentioned the goblin looking over the posts now editing on)

    repost from elsewhere,

"...no, one mustn't forget that the invasion caused system change in afghanistan, that is, it replaced fanatics with bandits and, since the western powers understand corruption far more than they do fundamentalism, they succeeded, as they're dealing with basically what the want now..." replied the goblin, adding "...no, the real problem starts when the westerners leave, that is, will the warlords remain divided enough to poise little threat beyond their own boarders..."

...well it's a big forum and it might get interesting, even tucked away in our little corner here... build it and they will come... a repost then...

Jats enjoys a brief quiet moment fresh from watching his own private wildlife documentary in the vegetable patch where a gang of wasps swooped in attacking the caterpillars who were munching the broccoli with one wasp pumping his venom into its chosen victim and then the rest, picking up the scent, swarming around it and slowly devouring it like a pride of voracious lions before zooming off again, their bellies full "...interesting how ourdearmedia now are latching on to 'trolling' isn't it and FaceTwit being mentioned all the time as they move in with their own accounts, every tom dick and corporate having one now which they plug incessantly, YouTube too now littered with adverts and copyright claims, P2P's being shut down and facing legal claims against them, makes you wonder doesn't it, where all this is heading, not to mention the perils of blogging then..." Jats ruminates scratching his hairy chin, readying for a shit, shave and a shower before putting on today's disguise to be able to walk amongst the humans again "...and where will it all end as the underground is seduced by the dollar until it too becomes mainstream, controlled, contrite, on message, anything unique lost in a formulaic sea of detritus, so, where to find solace then, where can one speak freely without any reprisal, only here on forum-land it seems, the last survivor of the brave new world of social media still wallowing in it's acidic acrimonious apathy refusing to give in... well as long as you don't get caught saying anything too coherent that is..."

...a repost after someone had made a great post on a forum that unfortunately has just folded, though all my posts are safe now...

"...well that's made my day...." smiles Jats very lopsidedly as if he has had a stroke, though it's just the anaesthetic from a trip to the dentist that Jats knows will fuck him up for the rest of the day now "...and a perfect picture to match too, beautifully put, and yes that's the dilemma isn't it, what can you possibly do about it other than sit back and idly watch it all unfold, this utter madness..." agrees Jats waking up from crashing out, woozy headed still, and having been pampered better by the missus very nicely all day indeed "...but let's say you wanted to do somefin about it..." smiles Jats thinking perhaps that's the easy way to spot the difference between flea and he, the naivety still "...at least have your say then, even just for the hell of it, but where, how, where no where is safe now, and with nobody believing ourdearmedia and hardly any reading books no more, so where else is safe other than forumland then, where you might not be able to hit that teacher for being a dick, or protest about anyone, or anything in dailylife anymore, but we can be anyone and do anything we like here on forumland, when you know how, as it's safe here... yes it's safe now, isn't it..."

("...true, I hadn't given up, just I'm so behind in everything and everywhere..." replied the goblin, who had been doing a failed landing on an interfaith forum, adding "...kind of freedom of speech under approved posts only, yes I waste my time there I know but my obstinacy at times gets the better of me...")

    repost from elsewhere

"...correct, the west really only needs to push its strengths now..." replied the goblin, as if remembering that line from science fiction book dune, explaining he who controls the spice, controls the universe, where in this case the spice is just ourdearmedia in all its present forms, "...ah, those aspirations to make you happy as portrayed by the media again, and the entertainment that everyone seeks too, no wonder then the talaban tried to expel the spice from their midst, simply they understood the awesome power of the west's media had over its citizens..."

the goblin was here again, that recurrent moment before bedtime then, with that same old feeling of not wanting to let go without posting something of himself, "...you see, a well formed opinion is one of life's last luxuries..." he would just say to himself as if there really was any choice about it now, adding "...anyway, this last post idea is more like a state of mind where, whatever happens in one's life, one posts something as in one more post for the road...", but the man in the mirror was laughing at the goblin now, saying "...look, you can't expect anyone else to understand goblin, not when you don't understand either..." , so the goblin laughed too, and let go for a moment, knowing that he couldn't really let it go like that, simply the last post idea, or that one more post for the road then, just remained both habitual and hauntingly recurrent however much he didn't actually understand why he kept at it

“...cry havoc, and let slip the penguins of war...” said the goblin to the sandman chasing him around his brain once more, somehow bedtime was never a dull moment between them, adding "...you're not taking me alive sandman I'm not going to sleep just yet..." but the sandman then explained "...um, ok mr goblin it's your choice I suppose, sleepydust now or I'm fetching that suppository...", whereupon the goblin's steps quicken bedwards instead, just that life at his age wasn't fair he felt, no couldn't he be young forever instead

...I searched "forever young" and this one came up...

"...na it will be fucked by then, like the rest of my body unless I survive to enjoy the delights of old age, stuck in front of the TV watching repeats, lying on crisp clean linen, with delightful young nurses shuffling and fussing about smelling of cigarettes and stale perfume, where I can see the appeal of that, but I intend to wear it out before then..." as Jats mind drifts back to his neighbour as a teenager who had a beautiful 500cc that Jats envied seeing it gleaming which was hardly surprising as the neighbour cleaned it daily, incessantly, whereas Jats bought the better 750cc and road the fucker into oblivion instead "...but what this all has to do with warmal globing I have no idea..." chuckles Jats joining in "...and if forum-land survives it, then the chameleon will too, being there to forever remind you, unless you came along for the ride too..."

    Dejavu Until the great unbanning

"You forgot about the hip forums flea?!" laughed Dejavu, incredulity creeping into and cracking a deep... depth from his features. "But these are the free speech forums!" he whispered, having had things deleted from here, not to mention being banned at one time. Being able to fucking well say what he fucking well wanted to was of paramount importance to Dejavu in forumland, since doing just that in the dailylife usually meant subsequent explanatory speeches from him to uncomprehending grown-ups, so that "free writing" seemed a reasonable sort of pay-off. After all, he was, by and large, surrounded by beings who found things put in terms of pay-offs reasonable above all else. "I just came by to say merry old year and that it's good to read you here." he smiled, including jats in his toast. "To more than witness you might say!" he added, fumbling for more toastable things to toast with.

"Never too late to discover you've always been young!" shouted Dejavu triumphantly, the slot, having e'er and ne'er its fill, spitting his words into cyberspace accordingly.

("...keep me company then, I will try to be here far more often now..." promised the goblin)

repost from elsewhere, a "last post" thread, subject of israel/iran again

"...no the UN hasn't changed, it is still the cap in hand "talk show" it's alway been,..." replied the goblin who lived in Geneva and was well aware of its impotence now noting its past"resolutions" towards many things, simply the UN was the wizard of oz in all but name, likable but utterly powerless, "...no, israel won't leave it up to the UN, but either way then, you asked me to mention other country's problems, and I could as there is so much happening worldwide, but in the end I am left feeling that there is only one real situation upon our doorstep today, that of the devaluation of the dollar in our time, and from it all the other devaluations, descents, and depravities that marks an end of empire in our midst..."

"...ah now, telecommunications is the biggest mind altering drug of them all..." mentioned the goblin, continuing "...I suppose we could ask ourselves just how many people could survive without their television sets today, or this internet here...", in fact, the goblin was far too old for any illegal drug, and yet he saw the television as one of the biggest threats to the elderly, in fact, any one way media, even bookreading for that matter, could become a danger to an old person then, so the goblin explained a bit, saying "...you see, if you put elderly people in bed for too long, they'll lose their ability to walk...", somehow the goblin remembered that phrase here the bed is the grave of the old, continuing "...meaning that if you put them in front of the television each day, or just hand them a book instead, their minds will rot for lack of any interaction since their reaction was not required in their viewing or reading, simply it was all one way then...", perhaps, the goblin was simply thinking back to the old age home where his mother had been, and how the newly extended lifespan of the elderly was causing a growing problem of dementia amongst them there, saying "...so they succumb and drown in all this one way media, yet forumland is different now, for here alone you can reply to me, so perhaps this is why I feel posting to be winning again, in a true two way media fashion, how about you, care to win won, I'm listening if you do..."

upon opening the writing box filled with all the old letters mostly from his mother, the goblin remembered that she had never written anything of depth since she hadn't taken much time out in writing them, just they were her way of saying "thinking of you" or used in a way to air out any particular problem she was facing at that moment together with some anecdotal snapshots of village life mixed in, so the goblin didn't care to read them now but, like some book that one wants to keep on the bookshelf, he had kept each letter albeit in a somewhat discarded fashion in this old writing box till now, yet today though, knowing that there would be no more of them in her declined mental state, he had just readied a folder expressly, to which he had scribbled down the title "Mum's letters" bundling them all in there then while the writing box itself would probably go empty till some other use could be found for it, "...and besides, who ever writes letters these days anyway..." voiced the goblin to himself in moving on and away from the folder he had then buried upon the bookshelf

    repost from elsewhere,

"...and what prize would you like now, I mean what could possibly equate to being able to post here..." mentioned the goblin who would rather be able to post, about anything and everything under the sun that is, than to have some prize given to him, "...and besides too, doesn't a prize mean that the game is over by it, where hopefully no one wants this game to be over just yet, for it would be nice this posting could would go on forever, where your act upon this thread/stage within a forum/venue is ever you upon this forumland here, even if we all exit stage at some point...", simply by now the goblin's faced the slot as a practice, saying "...perhaps the prize is to arrive at one's final self at the end of one's journey, though probably even that prize was outdone by the whole journey then, and all from your pen too, so would you care to write with me awhile humans where life is short and where that arrival at self could be at any moment, yes it's a beautiful life indeed but that arrival is ever in its shadows..."

    repost from elsewhere, just sharing

about leaving home then, the goblin could relate here, for he too, had after all passed that point, though many years back it seemed, saying "...ah but one never wants to do it blatantly now, and yet it has to be done still, so think of it in terms of proximity and not words then, yes, adults use white lies where that is the world of grown-ups, just not to dash the aspirations of others all at once, merely to choose one's own path in life here, simply one can't live a lie as in a life for others where one only has one life, so one lies gently and leaves slowly, for aren't white lies are the lesser of two types of lies then, that is, between lying to them and their aspirations towards you, and lying to yourself by caving into those aspirations..."
