Indeed! As an hypoglycemic my body is constantly craving carbs, too much insuline burns them waaaaay too fast. But that doesn't give me the green light to eat all the sweets I want, in fact it's the total opposite since dramatic variations in my blood sugar leave me totally drained and feeling like uber crap, plus as I already have an insuline imbalance I'm more at risk for type 2 diabetes. I definetely need carbs to sustain myself tho, a lot, most probably more than most people, but I need complex carbs that will be assimilated and going in my blood flow slowly to nourish me on the long run. Refined sugars give me a rush, then my blood sugar drops massively and I end up dizzy as hell, sweaty, panting, nauseous and just not feeling very good. Not worth it.

Not much on topic replies so far. I've named most of my water Fred and call my milk Robert or Alphonse depending if it is fat or skimmed.

I usually have a protein shake when I wake up...made with locally produced (no hormones, blah, blah) milk. Then I have some coffee and then it's water after that. Maybe some beers later.

I mostly drink water. I'll squeeze and add lemon fairly often.

Tea once a day. Coffee once or twice a week.

Stuff like coca cola maybe once a month.

I always drink a lot of water when I first wake up. Green tea while I'm doing homework. I used to drink a lot of coffee, like a pot a day, but I started having really bad generalized anxiety so I stopped and it went away.

If people's bodies weren't meant to consume sugar, it wouldn't taste so good (evolutionary response).

People weren't meant to consume large amounts of sugar and then sit on their fat lazy asses all day. Wasn't that your previous field of expertise?

Isn't that kind of like saying that if people weren't meant to smoke crack, it wouldn't get you high?

    Same logic pretty much.

But I never said humans were not meant to consume sugar. All I have ever said is that humans were not meant to consume the amount of sugar they do today, most of which is refined.

    water,
    milk with my cereal,
    possibly tea in the morning,
    water on repeat,
maybe some beer or red wine in the evening,
occasionally some of that evil fruit juice,
    followed by more water.

Water and coffee (1-2/day) is what I drink most days. Sometimes I will drink alcohol in the evenings on a regular basis and then sometimes not have any for weeks or months.

yup, you're right. decaf has less caffeine than green tea, so pretty low.
about 8 cups of decaf has the same amount of caffeine as one cup of regular coffee.
