I agree too. I remember reading that there is an unspoken rule amongst journalists not to report on suicides (although that obviously goes out the window when a celebrity commits suicide) because the suicide rate correlates with media coverage of suicide

I think the same is likely true of mass shootings

Anyone see the documentary The Bridge? It's basically a snuff film. Real suicides from the Golden Gate bridge. It's poignant, but it's creepy. I have no idea how they could ethically make that movie.
