i think you're absolutely right. the one thing that COULD happen is a major hemoraging of the republican's so previously unasailable facade.

this is an off year election year when the focus will be on congress, and with enough people discussted enough with the executive administration and if the votes are actualy counted, the makeup of congress, both houses, could signifigantly swing. and if that happens, both republicans not part of the inner cabal, and conservatives from both sides of the isle, will likely be distancing themselves from the executive.

enough for empeachment to succeed? that's dicey. but enough to make the mad cowboys next two years seriously 'lame duck', yah, i think that's something we just might be able reasonably to hope for.

the realy major events that are in pipe, peak oil and global warming and a possible collapse of the dollar. not this year for the last. really it's a toss of the coin or roll of the dice as to if or when for the last one. and the first two are not the kinds of things that you can point to one particular day or one particular year as being when they happen. these are rather somewhat longer duration events. ultimately dramitic in their consiquences certainly, but not sources of entertaining specticle.

FOOLS! The tribulation period is starting and HUGE events WILL occur in 2006, MARK MY WORDS.

    WORLD WAR (with Nukes)
    HUGE EARTHQUAKE (probably Japan)
APPRENCE OF THE ANTI-CHRIST or FALSE PROPHET (After the war)

These things will come to pass and you all shall one day understand. When you see that these events I speak of are not lies know that this is the Lord's doing. Repent for your sins and surrender to God's will.

i don't know how to break this to you (or get it through your thinck head), but fanatacism itself IS your 'anti-christ', and the ultimate sin is to consider yourself infallable.

er i also seem to recall somewhere in that bible of yours it saying something about "never say 'thou fool'".

    Nicely put.. Agree completely.
    [fanatacism itself IS your anti-christ]

    Infallible.[adj] 1. Incapable of error.
Occam has met many who claimed they were infallible.
They KNEW what was going to happen.
Yet as the decades passed..It did not.
One guy KNEW that a comet was going to hit central
pacific area in 1996. In 2003 occam asked him
    'what happened to the comet?'
    What comet he replied?
The one you KNEW was going to land in the pacific
    back in the mid 90's
"I never said that" was his reply

    LOL

Ever hear the story about the boy who cried wolf? At the end he was telling the truth, yet known believed.

so are you saying that you are lying?
or are you saying that THIS TIME you are telling the truth

I think its pretty evident that one day the world as we know it is going to end, whether it be from the sun going supernova, war, alien invasion, ice age or spontaneous combustions, but there is no point in going around yelling the sky is falling every time you get a hangnail

Yeh...makes a nice fable. And could happen.
But as occam mentioned. He has met many that 'cried wolf'
about great 'beyound our control' events about to transpire.
Not a single event desribed by them did.
And this has been repeated milions of times in history

Do you suggest occam should believe as truth everything
every tom dick and jerry says is 'going to happen' ?
    [based on zero phenomenologial evidence]

To do so would be throwing away 3 decades spent walking
    a path of understanding.

major events arn't neccessarily bad things either. whether for everyone who believes the same as yourself or everyone who does not or everyone all inclusive. (though few if any, affect everyone all inclusive the same way)

  16. Ha ha, that is so humourous.

The boy lied, he was in full capability of using his senses. You're an idiot. There is a difference.

    the point of that story, which appearently completely eluded your comprehension, was not that habitual liars occasional tell the truith;

but the REASON he was not and could not be believed.
that if you habitualy sensationalize, you CANNOT EXPECT to be taken seriously, even when something real actualy does happen.

when i was growing up i thought EVERYONE knew and understood the point of that story. it was something we all learned in kindergarten. appearently since computers have gotten powerful enough and cheap enough for everyone to play video gams over the past couple of decades or so, there seems to have been a lot of forgetting of everything else, except perhaps fanatacism remembering how to brainwash the gullible massess.

the big things that move nations chainge the words we use.
the little things we see with our own eyes chainge what we mean by them.
