I too would like my partner to be straight, I would find it a tad weird if I could talk to my man about a cute guy I saw on TV or something. I'd feel like I was talking to a girl friend.

I'll remember that the next time it happens. ;)

I'm not too interested in "testing" anyone's sexuality. People can do what they want. I think I know what I prefer, but that's based on assumption.

Do you think that's really an effective way to think about people or to frame the context of your relationships with people? (Not being glib.)

If thinking that way works, more power to you. :)

It's more that I can't tell if you're being glib or serious. Almost all women could fit into those narrow stereotypes if you catch them on the right day. So I'd take all and none. I'm just baffled as to why you seem to dislike me so much. Did I accidentally rape your mother or something?

    i'm glad we agree

Sometimes people disagree or can argue but still like each other. One doesnt have anything to do with the other. I dont know you.

But we do know this kind of talk is bull:
You know a fair number do you? If 2% of guys are gay, thats one in 50, you'd have to be well aquainted with 300 guys to know 1/2 a dozen, we ourselves have a hard enough time tracking down our own kind. But you are not talking about the gay ones, you are talking about the bi ones that tell most girls they are gay.

Which brings me to the uselessness of this thread, if you are a girl you are not going to know the difference unless they make a move on you. Or one of your female friends in a public fashion.
Theres a lot more bi guys than gay ones, and most of them dont tell their girlfriends they are bi. When it comes to secret hookups the girls are far more likely to be secretive about it so they dont get labelled sluts

And if I start saying stuff like this you are going to end up hating me, even though It doesnt have anything to do with me, more likely to be your kind than mine

I agree. You also implied out of nowhere I'm unattractive to men. I have a friend who's just to the right of Attila the Hun and I'm a yellow dog liberal. I'm just curious about personal attacks.

Off the top of my head, I can think of six men who are gay who used to identify as bisexual that I know of. Maybe that shouldn't qualify as a fair number. I'm calling it a fair number. Then again, I'm mostly talking about a sibling's friends and boyfriends and fiancé.

I guess I haven't had enough relationships to make a call on that. Heterocentricity is pretty terrible, but breaking down barriers and stereotypes begins with honesty about sexual habits, at least between partners.

Why would that make me hate you? And who are my kind, so I know who to be mad at? The only thing you've ever done is personally insult me, which I don't like from anyone. Asserting your opinion is something that could never make me hate you.

With you average straight dude, tell them to impersonate a gay dude and the wrist will go limp and they'll prance around like a girl - the scary prison version of gay wont even register, and when they encounter one in real life - a 6"5' gay gorilla ;) , they'll go very very quiet, its as if they all pretend that stereotype doesnt exist. Similar kind of thing with the Lesbians at the most feminine end of the spectrum, its a concept that straight guys cant even comprehend - girls that are too feminine for guys

So honesty about sexual habits is irrelevant with stereotypes that are never spoken of, or with stereotypes they dont even see or understand. Or with habits they wont tell you for your protection

Anyway, as for insulting you, well you interpreted it that way. Me saying some bi guys might turn gay around you became you are unattractive to men. Apologies, even though I was talking about reasons that dont have anything to do with you being you

Seems to be a lot of "these people think this about these people" and "these people are always like this" talk to me.

I'm a jealous bitch, so as long as he's only got eyes for me, I don't care if he likes the occasional wiener in his butt. I can buy one on a strap.

I've been out with guys who claimed to be bi and the relationships ended sour. Perhaps they were jerks or we didn't have much in common. All I know that it was rocky. The good past relationships I've been in were straight so I may have to go with the straight card. Maybe someday I'll meet a guy who happens to be bi and it may change my views a bit.
