my cousin told me one one time he went to visit his mom and her boyfriend was hitting her. my cousin grabbed the jerk put him in a headlock and started upper cutting him in the face. after a few punches he asked the jerk "whos your daddy?' whos your daddy?"
the jerk said "your my daddy" and that was the last time he was seen.

We do have a crawl space. Hubby says he wouldn't go under the house. He wouldn't want the whole house laying on top of him.

I've gone in it once in my 32 years here. That was prior to this hubby.

 

I have noticed the south east are not big on basements.
I have seen more basements on my block up in jersey than I did in my entire time when I moved south.

 

generally the only houses here that dont have a basement are either mobile homes or really old houses built fast and cheap by the mining companies

 

I knew someone (a middle aged woman no less) that had a crawl space and went down there and dug the entire thing out by herself until she made enough space to pour cement to make it a basement.
