I realize that, G, but at times I will speak metaphorically for simplification purposes....... :)

VG, no, no one knows.....all we can do is pontificate crazy ideas. I did think about the holographic principle...i also thought about many universes, and parallel universes and other dimensions we will never see in this one.......perhaps we have a twin universe that is the opposite of all that we are at all times, likes G's little video...and perhaps Lewis Carroll wrote Through the looking glass....based on this principle.....who knows.....perhaps, anything we know is not true at all in another universe. :)

Yes, Ace, and I have a big one.... :)

In 800 years 2015 will look like the dark ages

  4. Determinism fails because we have no idea how self-aware objects relate to inanimate ones. We have an impossible time of considering how we have no control. It is whatever an impulse is; it is a relationship of things that is beyond words.

At a certain scale, reality does not exist until observed. This changes the question of what it means for something to be determined. If things can go no other way than how they are going, why would this stop time? And then are they "determined" per se?

A human being cannot comprehend itself in any meaningful way as being something predetermined. Things seem disparate from one another. The wind "might" start blowing and I might go sit outside. Some things, even be they set in stone, will always remain as free and easy as the summer wind.

Well we have not learned the language. We are determined in form, being born of processes that came before and which we have no control over. determined in form but not in mind. The uncertainty principle then is vital for self determination.
"At a certain scale, reality does not exist until observed"
Is a meaningless statement. It makes no distinction whatsoever. Reality is one thing. Perception doesn't occur without observation. What is observed is not standardized until it is measured at which point it becomes a default filter through which ongoing perception occurs.

We fail in our determinations because they are close ended while uncertainty is not. All together we have a definite system that is malleable. In order to affect the change that occurs we have to first see it. We cannot see it while we are looking for our pot of gold.

Determinism fails because we ARE reality.

    That is what we are.

That is what we are made of.

Anything and everything that you believe is determined is YOU.

This has even been featured in movies like Donnie Darko, and The Matrix ("there is a difference between knowing the path, and walking the path").

They figured it out thousands of years ago.

    Cogito ergo sum.

It is in the bible also.

    I AM.

And uncertainty is a word not an axiomatic fact. if you don't know shit then we have nothing to build on. Fact is we all have a clue.

Exactly my point. You have to see the change not keep you eye on an effort. You then can see the moment and be the change you want. What we do now is try to make the change. I should add that you cannot determine what you are because you didn't make yourself. You can experience yourself as you are, loving and such.

It still seems we are still stuck on the foreknowledge component that gets associated with Determinism, which for me, is already a resolved issued in that previous video I posted. However regarding that concept, I don't know about Donnie Darko but The Matrix actually suggests the opposite.

Although I got your drift and I wanted to positively comment on it this statement suggests that happiness is impossible. It suggest we fail because we are really failures. We are real but we are only relatively informed on the proportions of that.

Well bobby it pays to have common sense. the statement throws doubt on the fact you exist. Cute saying but not sanely functional.

Some understanding of the depth of our ignorance? You don't know want you don't know and some understanding is the depth of it.

Knowledge is being shared. Knowing cannot be had without the sharing. Knowing is ongoing.

I think it has less to do with an observer being conscious, and more to do with the fact that when a quantum event is observed, there is now information about the event recorded somewhere in the universe. Since there is a record of an event happening this way, it had to have happened that way. As long as there is no record, it could have happened either way, or both and it is uncertain.

An interesting thing I have learned is that photons actually have a sort of "length, and are not the little tiny balls they are often depicted as (well, I knew this, but not the "length" part)". The length is derived from the uncertainty, and can be measured by splitting beams into two paths of different lengths. Since photons only interfere with themselves and do not interact with other photons, there is a certain length of delay you can introduce after which no interference pattern will be produced. It's as if the front or the 'head' of the photon is interfering with it's 'tail'.

It is recorded in the memory, our memory. that is where the record is and that is where it stays as it is downloaded through reproduction. Every new communication device, human body, has the generational information and an empty memory bank on which to collect new information.

This allows the possibility of truly radical departures. A single new thought can change a whole mind.
