i trust that existence is not limited by nor to what we know. sorry but no, i do not trust what anyone pretends to know about what is not known. i believe there are non-physical things that love us and wish us well. i believe i have experienced their affection. but i have experienced no indication of any direct relationship between them, and the claims of any belief system as to further details of their nature or existence. i do not believe it or they micro-manage. i do not believe it or they are at war with anything. i do not believe it or they need to be infallible, but as to whether or not they might be, this is unknowable too. so trust in god? i trust what i can examine under a microscope. i trust what i know i can heal from the bit of if it injures me. no sorry, i do not and can not trust anything that would wish, let alone demand, to be worshiped. sorry no, i cannot and do not trust any concept of hierarchy. that anything would demand even respect, let alone worship, is a dead giveaway that it is up to something far from trustworthy. i do not trust that anything human, or anything written by anything human, knows jack about anything nonphysical, other then what each of us experience ourselves about it. and that, not filtered through and coerced by the beliefs and claims of others.
And the divine Law for trust is at existentialism to the Muslim Jihad. But I'm not being cynical/deprave or trying to be; Instead of Divine Law there may be the understanding of applied religious Faith, or particular faith. Why do we trust a religious person over a civil authority anyway? He's a stranger a lot; further who's trusting his doctor to explain the certain religious scripture. Yes, yes, like Richard Greer to Alec Baldwin, I trust my doctor: GOD.
In God we trust is to feel that the secularism is for no particular religion. It never works that way (a) because the substance for action that is responsible by the Trust is never for any religion of the substantial concern; (b) because the philosophy of faith for God and God's existence is de-substantialized of religious dutifully applied Value.:sunny:
Where did you read that? Was that the same issue that said Obama is going to take away all our guns and establish Sharia law?
Trust is a word with many definitions. trust v.intr. 1. To have or place reliance; depend: Trust in the Lord. Trust to destiny. 2. To be confident; hope. 3. To sell on credit. Matthew 6:12 King James Version (KJV) 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. United States: $17,555,437,713,940 - Debt as of April 2014 atriot:
forgive me, for it defies my comprehension how it would be possible to trust anything that would demand to be worshiped or desire to be feared. to have it both ways is a self contradiction. the existence of one or more gods may be possible, even likely. for a god to be loving and good and all those positive things, and then to be at war with ANYTHING, this is again, a self contradiction. the right to believe there is no god or many gods, is equally religious freedom, which does not exist without it. i happen to believe, that whatever god or gods may happen to exist, that we live in a universe that works the way it does, regardless of whether or not they do. nor am i impressed by such arguments as claim hierarchy among the non-physical. we have invented this word and its description, this thing we call god or a god. it is our ego alone, that expects anything to match it. we do not and can not know, the limitations, if any, as to what may or may not exist. we can learn, by scientific process how things work in this same physical universe as we ourselves occupy. nothing beyond that however, can be bound by nor to, any speculation on our part, as to its name or nature. but back to trust. i trust every humble thing that has no wish to be feared or worshiped, and while wishing to offend none, i simply cannot understand, how it would be even possible, to trust, anything that did. (be it a god or a nation or an ideology or a man with a gun, if i fear something, it is precisely because it instills fear that it cannot be trusted.)
In God we trust. ------OR------ I'm handing my funds over to my "out of touch with reality superego". = 1
i trust in diversity to be the nature of reality. the only thing i trust in money to be, is this kind of illusion that enough people agree with each other to pretend that it represents a very flexible kind of value. flexible to the point some might even call it limp.
