5000 years seems like a bit much. I thought horses came from Eurasia and were brought over by the Conquistadors.

 

I think horses came from Mt Ararat, obviously where the Ark rested.

Yah you only have to account for submarines, microscopic equipment, the ability to traverse the entire earth to access every animal's dna prior to the technology and information actually being invented and discovered.
