Biology, at the moment - ironically.

My mom had her tonsils removed when she was younger than me, and then started just getting ear infections, without the tonsils to catch the nasties....

When I did Anatomy and Physiology the lecturer told us that when they used to remove heaps of children's tonsils at the first sign of infection they found that lots more children were getting chest infections instead. I never researched it though to know if this is in fact truth.

Getting it up onto the milk crate (old HD ones that can survive direct nuclear blasts) was the worst bit... I put a pipe in the side inlet, put padding on my collar bone and heaved... That got it up about a foot.... From there I was stumped, I tried to do the same thing again and my body said "no fucking way". I ended up taking a second crate, put it next to the first and a piece of plywood and made a platform. Then I used pieces of 4X4 and 2X4 cut offs and rocked it back, slide wood under it, rock it the other way, slide more wood under it, etc. until I could slide it onto the blower motor box behind the furnace... Then I did the same thing from there to the platform. Luckily it didn't fall sideways and smash my ass. [IMG]

It ain't going nowhere but I'm going to strap it to the wall and dress up the cinder blocks with a brick front face... The more professional it looks the less anybody would question it (like insurance people)

Today, I'm back to copper plumbing which is a massive job itself. This is a very complex setup and it's not slapped together... It's going to be better than what any plumber would do.

Never understood sushi... Fish cooks in ten minutes at 110 degrees. It's not like it's difficult.

Had a bit of a thunder and lightning storm here last night. As long as it's not too windy everything looks healthier after a storm in spring/summer and I get a day off of watering.

I'm not sure I'd call that cooked.

I've never understood cooking fish, but not REALLY cooking it.

I suppose if you're smoking it but do want it pretty raw, there's times it's good.

But I want to kill those annelids n' shit. And burnt flesh tastes good.

I generally pan fry my salmon or tuna, somewhere around the smoke point - crispy and delicious on the outside, just long enough that it's flaky and juicy but not chewy on the inside.

Also, I don't want my seasoning all scummy and sticky and rough and fishy, if it's not hot enough fish basically leaves glue on your pan.

Why do you want to kill the annelids, do you think they taste better dead?
