I play lullabies for my dogs...

I don't actually play them. I play recorded lullabies for my dogs, sometimes.

Yeah, skip made a thread about it.

I suspect that he wanted to add more dicks and sex dolls, but couldn't fit them, so he settled for moving stuff.

My hands smell like band-aid and formaldehyde and stuff - I had to begin dissecting a cat today - sort of cool, but smelling like a morgue no matter how many times you wash your hands is ridiculous - I'm trying to fucking eat here... I think I'm mostly smelling latex from gloves, but I associate it with nasty shit, so it's just as bad.

Am I the only one who's bothered by how recently cheese packages have started saying "made with milk!" or "made from real milk" or something to that effect? I guess maybe people have become so isolated from reality that it's become necessary.... I bet they started getting letters about how they should be ashamed of their bad unnatural products - so they put "real milk" on the wrapper and laugh all the way to the antibiotic-mart.

    What's TMJ?

I've had a thing where it was like the hinge point on my jaw was damaged, once a few years ago it was very hard to move and literally felt and sounded like stone grinding - after my mouth was half open it stopped, and was just really sore for a few days - then a few months ago, that same side really hurt to chew, especially if the food was on the other side, or anything else that put crooked pressure on my jaw - caused what felt like ear pain, but was clearly linked to my jaw, ear was just a symptom. That took more than a week to heal. I can get more grinding/clicking/whatevering sounds out of that side if I play with my jaw - I think I better stop before it comes back.

I've got family and friends with jaws that can dislocate, like if they're open at the dentist and relax that way - but they can be popped right back - I'm the only one I know who's had a momentary apparent lack of cartilage in my jaw, or days/weeks of feeling like chewing was doing permanent joint damage...

Yours sounds like TMJ, too. Maybe it is....I have had mine since I can remember, and it is agony for me to be at the dentist with my mouth wide opened for long periods of time......It clicks and makes noise when I open wide and clicks again to shut it...but now, it feels more painful than ever ...with this new pop out of nowhere.....

Here is am internet defintion of TMJ...

"The temporomandibular (tem-puh-roe-mun-DIB-u-lur) joint (TMJ) acts like a sliding hinge, connecting your jawbone to your skull. TMJ disorders can cause pain in your jaw joint and in the muscles that control jaw movement.

The exact cause of a person's TMJ disorder is often difficult to determine. Your pain may be due to a combination of problems, such as arthritis or jaw injury. Some people who have jaw pain also tend to clench or grind their teeth, but many people habitually clench their teeth and never develop TMJ disorders.

In most cases, the pain and discomfort associated with TMJ disorders can be alleviated with self-managed care or nonsurgical treatments. Severe TMJ disorders may require surgical repair. "

i never understood the whole "no antibiotics" thing in advertising

give me two burgers or two slabs of chicken to eat ...one farmer used antibiotics and one didnt....and ill pick the one with antibiotics every single time....im not really interested in animals that are sick ..id rather eat the ones that the farmer spent extra on trying to keep them healthy

    They're not more healthy.

They're breeding grounds for antibiotic-resistant disease.

The reason they give them antibiotics is that you can speed and increase animal growth greatly by giving them heavy antibiotic loads (of course, they give them hormones, too, which obviously helps, too - and gets into you and fucks with your hormones, too). They're unhealthy unsafe animals that have been grown as quickly as possible to feed you as cheaply as possible - this is not an issue of giving them antibiotics when they have an infection, this is like you being on an antibiotic course that never ends until you die - your guts don't work right, your immune system doesn't work right, and you breed unkillable bacteria.

It's not a good idea to eat antbiotic meat all the time for the same reason it's not good to take penicillin all the time - it's not good for you, and it's not good for all of us, because our safety net from things like staph and strep bacteria is being worn out to do absolutely no good for mankind, but to get some factory farm tycoon richer.

as to antibiotic- meats/ products- the difference in accepttability is based on use. a farmer who sees his chicken (or other livestock) getting sick and makes the educated choice to medicate is not the problem. its "medicated chicken feed" and the generalized use thats so bad. all the chickens are not sick, why would you medicate? and why would you medicate all the time, round the clock?

i used to have TMJ problems, mine would lock up mid-bite, usually if i was having a bagel. after i had my wisdom teeth out it helped a lot.

It's cold as fuck here, and I apparently have an obligation that involves walking around campus later - and I should probably go to work or something in the meantime. I believe it's coveralls for the rest of the day - the suckers won't be able to laugh at me, what with their jaws frozen shut and all.

But first, I'm cooking something, though I don't know quite what, yet. Probably an omelet, or something like that - I have no meat (other than a few flies that won't leave me alone - maybe I'll put on the coveralls early and open all the windows, to freeze them out), but have a bunch of eggs and some mushrooms, tomatoes, garlic, onion, etc.
