If I go to a new tab I get signed out .....if I linger to long I get signed out....
Usually I can stay logged in even if I shut it down yet not any more

Oregon is legal, DC is legal, Guam is decriminalized, a bunch of city/county legalization and decriminalization passed, florida got 58% (but failed the 60% needed for the constitutional amendment they were trying to pass) for medical, and that's pretty fucking impressive considering the area, it means medical weed is more popular than most things you could poll floridians on - all eyes on alaska....

On the other hand, wendy davis got utterly shitstomped, around 20 points down... republicans won every big texas race by a landslide, from what I can see.

 

These young men I spoke of earlier in the thread, being in the yard cutting down trees and hauling wood...got a few words from me late this afternoon.

The One Boy (that wanted to be In Charge) got the one I really liked the most to come and present a letter handwritten to my mother, giving her a bill...telling her she owned them $960 today. This one I liked did most of the work that I saw...let it be noted now.

I not only took the envelope from Mama the second he handed it to her, I read it and laughed. I felt like But I just stood up and literally laughed. That alone kind of seemed to scare them. ha

The smart one (I'll call him Blond Boy), the one I liked that was standing in front of me, looked down and said "I'm just bringing this...I didn't come up with this".

I said "you were HERE yesterday, when I did Not Imagine the price he gave - $500 - and I'm certain you ALSO heard us discuss giving y'all the money by the week, for a little while!"

He hangs his head, and says "yeah...you didn't imagine anything."

We discussed things for a minute or 3 and after advising him that he better get another business partner and QUICK, a price was negotiated. He agreed with me, as the Other Young Man with him did.

I'll probably get Blond Boy and Other Young Man with him to do the roof, as needed. Come to find out, they are all family with the good reputable roofing company that I was so pleased with.

The Other One (that sent Blond Boy) wound up calling here to Blond Boy over and over and over during our negotiations, and I basically told him off twice. lol The :devil: got in me, but I did not .... It would probably have gone better for him if I had.

 

I find it quite impressive and hopeful that Flordia went the way it did.

I thought it was practically a law that Republicans ruled Texas...no questions asked.

Ehh it depends, texas politics are screwey.

I voted for at least two republicans - on a local level, there's some left over southern democrat crap, or people who just run as whatever is open.

There's such a giant disconnect between the issues and "facts" that people are voting based on, and reality. The ideas and opinions and vibes and general feelings that people have do not reflect the reality of the candidates that they support.

Our politics has taken on religious aspects - it's based on (often self-contradicting) belief, not knowledge - this makes it very hard to make any headway.
