my son will be 14yrs old in 6days. she could be in a town over but research suggest Phoenix .. dont really matter much to me. I only keep track of the dates not much personal stuff going on. If I got to thinking to much about it, I get homicidal towards some law enforcement **** judge .. its best I just forget it... self inflicted amnesia ..

Not that it's applicable at the moment for you, but I'm doing a hell of a lot better than I was by not really fighting petty bullshit, I just roll with the punches and worry about doing what I can for my kid. You don't have to worry about her, but your kid, even if you don't know when. You've gotta do right by him, not by his mom, and if she's a limiting factor there, just do the best you can, to the point where it would otherwise do more harm (through harm to you or your wellbeing, too).

The natural response is not necessarily a productive one, unless you're rich as fuck and can have anything you want in court. I work on keeping my blood pressure where it needs to be, and just doing right by my kid, not worrying about the un-changeable.

If you think you're in an entirely un-workable situation, look into the MRM, at least....

It's pretty reasonable to assume that at some point, you will have contact with him - forget her.

Obviously, as you say, I don't know the situation - but still, always gotta be there for your kid, however and whenever.

This past week on one of my days off (Wed) Mama and I went and got a rabies shot for Sam. I gave it to him when we got home...after I had a drink (small glass) of wine.

I know it has to be done quick and smooth, and before that glass I was a bundle of nerves. Anyway, he wasn't exactly thrilled when the needle got in him, but I WAS fast and smooth with it and I got it done, despite him wanting to pull away. I had a good hold on that piece of furred meat. :)

Then just now I saw a raccoon on the back porch, where Sam would usually be. Especially since its even getting pretty cool for here - 42 deg or so.

Seeing that masked bandit, I was really glad I got that rabies shot in him. [IMG]

Researching texas candiates is sooooooooo depressing.

There's the slimy republican with fascist positions, there's the slimy democrat with 99% identical positions but who's also pro-choice and doesn't hate mexicans quite as much and who will not mention weed in the issues page on their website, there's the libertarian, who sometimes looks like a really good choice in some way and says some good stuff about crony capitalism and cutting special interest access to politics, all with pictures of them in front of oil rigs and warships.... and there's the green party, who have a personal facebook, that may or may not even mention that they're on the ballot of the fucking texas general election (attorney general aside - absolutely voting for the green guy there, he's awesome) - or a personal website about indian music classes....

Considering how badly I expect democrats to get trounced, I'm considering just voting green/libertarian based on each one's merits, picking the lesser evil is pointless if they won't win anyway, and doing so would effectively endorse the right-wing shit our democrats are shoveling.

I'm honestly even considering voting against wendy davis - not for and also for an opponent, but just against - I just read her page and found no mention of weed, but all the usual disingenuous bits about the border and security and human trafficking and shit - well how about the whole problem, the war on drugs, that's put the heavily armed powerful rich mexican mafia in a position to be doing that shit? Fucking crickets. And if she wins, the republicans go farther right and she creeps right, and if she loses the democrats run right, because she must just have not been right enough. I'd rather have an obvious landslide loss for her, with the difference going to the green party facebook guy.

At least we don't have jerry brown.

Fuckin' dog.... eats my burrito, drinks my water, then goes and lays back on my blanket where I put it for him in his thicket/den place, with no interest in making friends with me.

Other people had a dog there, though neither he nor I realized it until they were leaving - he ran right up wagging and everything. But he seems totally untrained, unresponsive, doesn't fetch so play isn't an icebreaker.

Wagged his tail at me once, though - when his burrito hadn't settled and he thought he wanted another - then went back to playing peek-a-boo. I kept the other, it's his dinner, since he wasn't cooperating.

At least he's good at closing it, so you won't realize he went to town on your food until you're actually hungry.

His eyes are almost exactly like the dog I'm trying to make friends with, though this one's all randomly spotty, not all pedigreed like that one.
