No mind. So instead of giving effort to focus the mind, you allow the mind to be overcome by nothing. With nothing to grasp it becomes totally free. Fear is just a thought.
The mind is a submarine in an ocean of the reality. As it slows it begins to sink and the pressure increases until finally the walls fail. Then there's no mind just ocean.
Hell is a Christian myth designed to convert those who otherwise wouldn't be bothered with religious dogma. It's just an example of evil religious mind rape, an effort to control others. http://www.jonathantweet.com/jotfigmentplatom.html
The concept of hell is older than christianity. It was not solely designed to scare people into christianity, although the concept has 'evolved' into something mainly christian (certainly in the west) and has indeed been abused to scare people.
Every emotional reaction has a conceptual underpinning. There are no idle thoughts. Fear is a liar saying it will keep you safe if you pay attention to it. It's real purpose is to keep you from going where you will and wound your sense of well being. No one uses fear to manipulate. Everyone gets caught up in it. The one who threatens does so because they feel threatened. If we defend ourselves we are already attacked.
Hey, that's a lot like saying hate is the means that will keep you strong and alive. Hate youur enemy can make sense for in turn applying the golden rule in some East Ukraine for your neighbour. Putin should give a speech for that idea. What does one need to do with his money anyway. :argue:
Is that easy to follow what you are referring to as human nature, mis-information, OR people making sense of how great the g-9 summit did it's work in 2010?
It's all the same stuff coming from the same source. It's time to put it down and move beyond the myth... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJUAoHW72sY
Why are you afraid of something that doesn't exist? I share your opinion! I always say heaven and hell are state of minds, just as God and the devil are facets of the human psyche. To sum it up quickly it would mean your very best is godlike, your very worst is devil-like, if I can say that.
Dude, what.... You obviously DO believe, if you're really afraid of hell. There is no hell, plain and simple, I'm more scared of the monsters in my closet than of hell - at least I did believe in those at one time - or at least, my imagination, spurred on by crappy stories, ran wild, even though I knew better. Of course, even those who "believe" clearly don't believe in hell, and are not scared of it - it shows the disconnect between actual belief and the wishful thinking type of belief that we're actually capable of. Even the most nutso end-times folk disobey the word of god to no end, and think nothing of it, because, well, they believe they're going to heaven, despite the fact that if their belief reflected reality they'd burn. The most holier-than-thou guys do enough to go to hell before breakfast on any given day.
