"Analyzed with X-ray fluorescence by Dario Panetta, of TQ - Tecnologies for Quality, the 39 ingots turned to be an alloy made with 75-80 percent copper, 15-20 percent zinc and small percentages of nickel, lead and iron." B-20 bronze. Bell metal. 's what Zidjan and most quality cymbals and gongs are made of.
I read that shit the other day. Epic. Anyone been reading about the latest findings on Mars that support the idea of life on Mars long ago?

Points to a sonic element in the supposed powers of atlantis. Again not a subject worth me spending a lot of time on, that is the subject of atlantis. I think to examine in full of any one line of esoteric exploration speaks for them all considering the fractal nature of expression.
Ultimately our experience is choreographed by our use of our own voice inflected with the substance of devotion which again we naturally possess. What I suggest is that this power can focused in way that creates chain reaction.

I checked out some of Mckenna's musings on Hermetic ideas ChinaCat. There was an emotionally moving quality about the ideas (may have primarily been to Mckenna's prose) but it seemed to have an edge of meglomania about it. The concept didn't really jive with me.
Speaking of McKenna concepts that don't really jive.. what do you guys think about this? It's not quite on topic.. but this thread has experienced a few diversions already. And this isn't good enough to make a whole thread about it. The idea of someone going from birth to the grave without ever having a psychedelic experience is like someone going from the birth to the grave without ever having a sexual experience. It means you never really played in the game. You were a spectator, a silent witness. It means that you never figured out what it was all about. - Terence McKenna Personally I think that psychedelic experiences are pretty irrelevant. They can teach you more about life, but almost everything that a psychedelic teaches you can be taught by observing life. Just like having sex doesn't make you a better person, or more learned. I brought this up on another "psychonaut" forum and they disagreed with me on the basis that sex and a psychedelic experience both describe extreme novelty, which is what McKenna was referring to. But we all have events in our life that we regard as "the most novel". And frankly, some of my most profound life experiences have come out of a state of complete sobriety.
Within this model there seems to be a rhythm similiar to the tides, and I think we're about to watch ourselves wash up on the proverbial beach. The technique is to stimulate both an emotional and an intellectual clarity. "Entertain all possibilities, but never commit to belief". Our right brain tunes into our spiritual and emotional needs, the left to tune in to principles of logic and make sure we don't fall into shit in an airy fairy dreamland in the reality of lions and tigers. A fine tuned ability to reason is critical in order to understand efficiently, but I identify analytical thought as the wake of a tantric rhythm. Trying to play a rhythm in a song is much harder than just playing it, this is what jazz is about.. the celebration of an individuals ability to communicate an unhindered interpretation of a fixed physical concept that's based around a system derived from observed patterns of harmonic. Soulfully. Knowledge of things is not enough, but recognising the tantric rhythm which causes the crystallisation of information on the surface level of consciousness, and playing in time with it.
I suggest we're self developed organic processors of information, each of us have a presence generated by a genetic formula that affects the way we react to our own perceptual creation. Acknowledging the fine details of how we react to ourselves emotionally, conceptually and sensually and sensing the pattern of preference between them can lead to a greater sense of "how the fuck did I miss that?". I no longer believe in falling off the edge of sanity, which is disconcertingly comforting in the comfiest of ways, which is a little bit disconcerting because that generally means I've fucked it Highly entertaining position to watch over at any rate. In any case, insanity could only be an error in communication.
I disagree with the idea on the basis that life trauma can bring about the same results as a psych trip. As can effort toward a desired aim. As far as a time saver psychedelics certainly can assist in that. Having said that I wouldn't give up my experience on the basis that it might not have been the absolute best
I essentially agree with Mckenna with the caveat that I view sex as slightly more important as it helps propagate the species. I touched on the notion earlier in this thread...
