Try to understand what I said. I said vedic is the idiomatic language from which sanskrit the mechanical language is constructed. the only strucural similarity is the phonic. It is best transmitted person to person to learn cadence which plays a roll in apprecitaing the full effect of the sonic impressions that are imparted by technical recitation. Sanskrit sounds like the idiomatic language and therefor can be understood by idiomatic speakers such as ourselves. the experience of actually learning to speak it with inflection imparts additional understanding of the subject.
    definition of idiomatic language:
    1. peculiar to or characteristic of a particular language or dialect: idiomatic French. 2. containing or using many idioms.

So you would argue with yourself over a thing you would other wise agree to? For what purpose? Let those with the argument argue.

No I wouldn't argue with myself over it. That's what I'm trying to say is that you can argue all day about free will vs. no free will but what difference does it really make? Do What Thou Wilt

And you can say the christian era began in the middle east. Doesn't lessen it's effects.

Vedic is not a language. Idiomatic or of any other kind. As I said, it is a word which designates culture arising from the Vedas.

The Vedas were originally an oral tradition.. Later on they were written down by the Rishis in Sanskrit, which is presumably the language they spoke. Many modern Indian languages are related to it.

We can recognize that by what actually occurs for ourselves and being honest about the nature of our own experience. We forget we have this capacity because of our habit of pojecting our inner state onto the world as though the world were responsible for our nervous systems response to stimulus. Our will is entirely intact and invulnerable to outside influence.

vedic is the mother tongue of all indo european idiomatic languages. Listen to what the sanskrit schoolar says instead of insisting that you have investigated this subject thoroughly. You can rest assured if you have it right you will surmount contention.

Recognition is only the start. It also has to be effectuated. It has to be endlessly refined.

    Interesting article, definitely worth reading...

Although I found the opening infomercial-like paragraph absolutely awful...

As a 'psychonaut' without any religious leanings, I have not seen a particular trend toward any type of religion with psychedelic use over the past decade. I see that psychedelics can reaffirm or lead some towards a particular religious or spiritual path but the religious/spiritual paths are varied. I never have even really heard much regarding hermeticism tbh, I have heard some be lead towards buddhism, strengthen Paganism, Christianity, or even gain interest in folk culture beliefs from psychedelic experiences.

That way the author paints psychedelics + Hermeticism = new religion seems a bit contrived.

There are some good points regarding cultural perceptions regarding psychedelics in the article though.

yeah...I feel that an Archaic Revival would kind of blend some different movements together. I wouldn't call this movement in the article THE new movement but perhaps one new movement.

Hermeticism is definitely still very underground as it has always been. Guess it's kind of a trademark of it. As you said, Paganism, Wicca, and Buddhism are much more popular. I like all three of those but Hermeticism is my fave for sure. Just a personal flavor preference.

I also kind of feel that that's a theme of "post-2012"...a sort of melting pot and blending of different movements. Not just one singular movement per se.

I'll probably checkout the Mckenna video, I don't think I can sit through the other lecture, it was like over an hour.

The real trick is to only sit until you find something meaningful in the experience of any experience. then time is unbound.

Yes time wave zero refers to a singularity event out of which emerges the opportunity for a new age of novelty.

Consider your own experience and it's drivers. You will find that high spirit is the most reliable addition to any endeavor. It is as simple as that.
