In our self reflections we may have noticed that we have two distinctly different ego's that we cultivate as a matter of course which obliterate any chance of comprehending the complete sense of identity and they are public and private and these two are horrified in coming in contact with each other in their respective domains. For example you wouldn't be fucking in the dinning room of a restaurant. Or you will use and entirely different vocabulary at home then you will in public, swearing like a sailor in the comfort of your "safe" space and then become the modicum of respectable vernacular when we walk out the door.

This split minded conception of self has has very definite cause in our history and it is this;
It happened the first time we were punished for making an error. you see being homo sapiens sapiens we are a functioning being and our function is to taste and to know. This is the only biologically informed function that we have. The idea that taste should firmly establish the nature of our experience is in error. Uninformed taste serves as traffic control for the unintended,
that is it represents a purely instinctive sensational awareness shared by all animals. So we experience individual tastes to provide an ecological niche. we don't all go after the same foods and this relieves pressure on the resource in exactly the same way as the rest of the diversity of species we see in each category. In addition you see this redundancy in specific niches. You will have a bird representative and a mammal representative and a reptilian representative throughout the phylum and the respective suitable environments.

Now our minds are naturally abstract and this abstract property is used to inform taste. This is what makes us distinctive in the animal kingdom. Taste and knowing are the communal elements for the activity called coming to know. If you haven't figured it out this means that we have been apprehending the world inside out and upside down. It is said in esoteric terms that clarity comes when the first becomes last and the becomes first and this also in tune with the triumphant progression. I can see the shape of this accounting and it looks like a proton a neutron and an orbiting electron.

 

So factually we have been living a bestial existence as far as apprehending our fundamental condition in relation to what we could be doing and this is how dramatic the difference between what I am seeing and what has been prevalent. I can see with stark clarity the nature of our dis-function.

As to the appearance of unnecessary brutality it is a kind of mindless self dispersal of inner conflict and does not represent evil intent. These abuses
are displaced inner conditions that are misinterpreted and reacted to like they were a directed threat which is yet another displacement from actually recognizing what is happening in the interior landscape. So it is a horror disguised as civil correction.

 

I can agree with that, Porkstock. I guess what I mean is that depending on your vibrations (which includes thoughts), attitude, whether you think you can or can't do something, and how much energy that you apply towards something...these all play a role in where your life ends up. I would agree that it's not absolutely one thing in particular.

 

Now you can sort through all the phenomena that occur in your life and decide how they suit you. i suppose a slug lives exactly the same way. they seem to succeed okay in a some what limited way. Or, you can reorient your senses toward apprehending things for themselves. For example, do you have any basic botanical or zoological knowledge? Chemistry? Sociology? History?Home economics? Are you a jock? Were you in the top performing tier of that group?
If you have no basic knowledge of at least one of these things then you are in fact uninformed.

You're being too literal with the word intent, guerrillabedlam. By intent, what I mean is whatever you intend for in your life. Practical goals or aims for example. Of course it takes intent to look at the picture, but are you using the picture for a specific means of intent?

when you first came to this forum, your statements were only occasionally decipherable to me. I thought you slightly mad in some (benign) sense but still with wisdom evident even through glimmers. In these recent threads it is only occasionally that I do not understand you, and "I" worry, because I am not worried at all that this may mean that I have become slightly mad.

It makes me cringe to see you putting what he's looking for right in front of him only for him to pass right over it as unintelligible and continue with full velocity towards nowhere fast.

I have a visual representation of what you are getting at with the quote and the paragraph it came from, in my head, but cannot find anything like it on the internet. I am quite lame at visual arts though my lady is quite good so perhaps one day I will commission something of sorts (payment being our proclivities of course).

By saying "that has nothing to do with intention" I simply said that because you were talking about whether it was a hallucination in your brain or not. That doesn't have to do with intent. If you're using it for intent, it's instantly part of Magick for you. Magick isn't about the tools, it's about the Magician and his relationship with the tools.

Magick is just like anything else. If you intend for something that doesn't have high chances, you're not as likely to get a result. You can't simply jump to the moon. You need to use a spaceship. That's Science. You can't simply create a ritual around something outlandish (whether what you stated is outlandish or not is entirely up to you). A practical aim that aligns with your passions and real goals is a much better use of a ceremony IMO. Or reaching your Higher Self, whatever that means for someone.

But it's honestly really up to you what you decide is possible or not in your life. Your example of intent is totally up to you of whether that's a ridiculous notion or not.
