Coming from someone who quotes Bible phrases and passages, if you can't understand what modern interpretation means, I can't help you.

 

Just because the ocean has water, and my body has water, doesn't mean I can move the ocean's water with my water.

This is an exercise in imagination chinacat. You think you are being open minded but you are dreadfully not. Imagine two scenarios:

1) Everything in the universe is, at bottom, "stuff". Yet, through power of will and intention, man can effect change in stuff through pure consciousness.

2) Everything in the universe is, at bottom, consciousness. Yet, through no exercise of will and intention, can man ever effect change in the consciousness outside his own.

Both are completely plausible as far as imaginable scenarios.

Brains are matter that have consciousness; can you effect my brain with a ritual? No? Do you know anyone who can? No? Then whence cometh "Magick"?

You know, Deepak Chopra is a licensed physician. But I would be nervous getting an antibiotic from him, because I think he's a fucking idiot. You need to stop making arguments from authority. I don't care what "a scientist" said somewhere and neither should you. I care about evidence and critical thinking.

I can tell you that you have made NUMEROUS types of fallacies in your arguments. I am well trained in philosophy and they stick out like painful sore thumbs that need to be carefully bandaged and treated delicately lest the patient cry foul. Please take this article and list seriously if you are serious about knowledge; this is the kind of homework that real thinkers do Chinacat. It's not always fun and glamorous, sometimes it's learning all the ways we have been wrong.

What gave you that idea? Was it two full threads of multiple people asking you over and over "Chinacat, WHAT THE FUCK IS MAGICK"? Could it have been that? Do you think maybe the problem is not with all these educated intelligent people posting in these threads, that maybe it is you, who does not understand philosophy, science, or even MAGICK, and yet are pretending to be it's presenter to the world (at least of hipforums)?

If I don't understand magick it's because you have yet to explain it to me, and this is your undoing. If your answer is "i don't need to tell you about my personal life, go do your own research" then that's just cowardice and chicanery and it's deplorable. You so obviously don't understand yourself and won't admit it. You've never produced a single instance of magick in your life, and neither has anyone else, ever. Prove me wrong.

I don't think that magick is real. In fact, I would bet the my life on it. But you, who are so convinced it is real, for mysterious personal reasons that you dare not speak of, you need to understand that should it be the case that magick is real, and you have evidence for it, then you need to fucking step up your game son and bring this shit into the light. Imagine that magick is actually real; what on EARTH kind of a man are you to hide this from the world? To not want to bring it to the light of discovery and humanity because what, because pow widdle chinacat might get laughed at by the mean kids in the school yard? Give me a fucking break.

I have studied it, and I have found that it is bullshit. If you have a certain technique of doing things that I am missing, we are ALL sitting here, at the table, waiting for you to grow a fucking pair of balls and say something solid on the matter that we can all share in. If you can't share your personal life, very well, can you not share ANYTHING about magick whatsoever? If Magick uses scientific principles, and you are a practitioner of magick, will you not share your evidence? Your discoveries of techniques and principles? It is YOU who is failing in this department child.

You seem frustrated, Writer. How do you know I haven't already had an effect on your consciousness? Aren't we always having an effect on others' consciousness?

 

I HAVE already explained to you the fundamentals of what Magick is. Apparently you didn't read it. Notice how you haven't been sharing your personal life with me? And I wouldn't expect you to? Well I don't care to share my personal life with you. I'm more than happy to find a real Scientist that is willing to study Kundalini and/or Internal Alchemy, or Magick, in order to help bring it into the light. I've already stated this multiple times.

And your body is made mostly out of water. When you make a splash in the water, that is your water effecting the ocean's water. Can you make a splash in the water specifically with your mind, I think is what you're asking? Well, that's talking more about Siddhis (psychic powers), which is a whole other debate. It's not really talking about Magick. You could integrate water into a Magickal ceremony, however. Or do a ritual that involves the Ocean if you wanted to. But you're not trying to use your mind to lift the Magickal tools into the air during the ritual. Magick is more about opening your internal vibrations to a frequency, and using symbols as tools to represent something in the external that matches your internal vibration. Then, when you leave the ritual, you carry that vibration with you into the world, and naturally attract that which you vibrate to.

Jimmy Page I think is a popular icon in the 20th Century who deeply studied the practices of Mysticism and Magick and came out successful as he weaved it into his life. Chapter 7 of his 2012 Autobiography there is a quote on the first page below the title of the chapter that says: "It was my life: that fusion of Magick and Music". I also was not surprised in the least bit to discover that Led Zeppelin had released a special about the band on CBS in the morning of Dec. 21, 2012, and I am not in the least doubtful that it was Page's idea for Astrological reasons to release the special on that day.

If you would bet your life on it not being real then you're just as convinced of anything as anybody else (ex: people who bet their life on God), aren't you? That's not really the attitude of a true and genuine Scientist, is it? Sounds a tad dogmatic to me. Kind of like what Rupert Sheldrake talked about in the video.

"But you're not giving me evidence!" ...that's my own choice. I don't have to share my knowledge and I don't even have to give you the reasons why. Mostly, though, is because you have been mocking me the entire time, and yet you expect me to genuinely share shit with you. Sorry, pal. I don't think you deserve it.
