Police body cameras will be as close to panacea as we can get, and it will be an insanely inexpensive program 5 years from now, much less 10.

The Eric Garner case, was tragic as he was a non-violent offender. However it's beyond clear that the intent was to get handcuffs on him, not to cause serious harm. If you're familiar with football, what we saw was an incidental facemask, not a violent thrashing of a handle on someone's head.

There are examples that deserve a 5 yard penalty. Some deserve 15 yards. Some you get thrown out of the game. This was a 5 yard penalty.

Initial reports and perceptions are often inaccurate. There isn't any evidence that I'm aware of that he pointed it at the officer.

The officer who shot and killed the 12 year old had a poor record in the police force. A police department where he had previously worked said that he had emotional issues and was unfit for duty.

A lesser known fact is that Tamir was alive and talking after he was shot. The yahoo article mentions an FBI agent tending to him after the shooting.

 

Fuck "thug life" and gangsta wannabe faggots. They deserve what comes to them .. for being so stupid and the less people like that on the planet, the better off IMO (also IME as well). They're only tough in groups anyway when they got "da homies wit em", one on one I could smash half of them. On another note, the cops are criminals, and the corporations, the whole system is corrupt to the very fucking core!

Every time someone fucks up, i.e. makes a life choice mistake, they raise the bar a little higher and your barrier to entry to success is that much thicker than the average person's. Eventually they raise the bar so high that it's unobtainable; you are left with no options, no prospective future; the barrier to entry is inpenetrable. At that point they make it so that you might as well just go and kill yourself...or let them do it for you.

It's because there wasn't enough actual evidence to secure an indctment, let alone a conviction and all three seperate autopsies confirmed Darren Wilson's side of the story. The only way Michael brown could have been shot on top of the head, is if he had been charging towards officer Wilson? Because the top of Mike Brown's head got blown off. if you had been in Darren Wilson's shoes? You probably would have done the same thing yourself.
