At a very early age I had a theory that I could possibly be the only sentient being in the world...everyone was just some sort of "robot", although I don't think i knew what the world robot meant at the time.

Later on I found out I was just a radical skeptic.

  2. I seriously can't think of one thing I believed as a child that was weird or fanciful. I had brothers, we played out all the time, football, cowboys and indians etc. I was part of the gang. Writing this has made me think that maybe i mistakenly believed that I would go through life being treated as an equal in a male environment

adults today believe all kinds of crazy stuff now.
when we have more data, and more experience of what to expect of it,
we come to more probable conclusions,
or what seem to us like they might be.
but its still just as easy to be convinced of really crazy stuff,
if everybody you know is also.

I was in love with Mickey Mouse. I mailed him letters, yeah, put them in my mailbox addressed to M. mouse.. One time, I made a recording of myself on a cassette tape singing and tried sending it to him. I caught my mom taking the bulging letter out of the mailbox.
I still don't much care for Minnie.

  10. I lived next to the train tracks and made up a story for my friends one day about a hobo who was on the train when it crashed who got burned up so bad his face turned bubbly. And I called him the Bubbly Faced Man. The only problem was I believed it myself for some reason and was really spooked.

That reminds me of a poor homeless man I saw in Pomona, California. This guy’s entire face was covered in boils.

  12. Hmm...maybe there was a "Bubbly Faced Man."

You should brain storm a script

  14. Seriously? The Bubbly Faced Man is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. At the time I thought it was super scary, though.

When my mom was in her 30's, and I must have been about 7, I thought we were going to stay that age forever. I guess I didn't understand that I would keep growing and growing and eventually become old.
I didn't understand this concept completely. I thought there were certain people that stay a grandparents age forever and I thought my mom would stay 30. I thought I would stay a kid forever.
I then started understanding birth and death and it made me really sad to relize everyone gets old and dies.

There was a huge elaborate mosoleum we would pass by to get to my cousin's house, and I always thought it was the White House...
