Where I live used to be a giant glacial lake, this entire valley was under at least 1000' feet of water before the ice dam broke

Has anyone yet denied that climate has/is/will change?

From some of the recent posts I'm wondering if I've missed the news story claiming the Antarctic ice will soon completely melt.

The United Nations' most recent climate change report estimated sea levels could rise from about 1 foot to 3 feet by 2100. Such a rise could displace tens of millions of people from coastal areas around the world.
Anandakrishnan said the U.N. estimate largely didn't take into account the melting ice sheet from west Antarctica, because few studies for that area had been completed.

 

I have plans to start a "real estate empire" in Florida.

I am seriously considering moving somewhere else.

I, personally, can just move when the ground starts to get soggy, but I can't sell a bunch of properties that no one will want any more.

But it sucks because Florida has the warm winters. Here's a picture of why I would never want to leave Florida.

Do you think, after the sea levels rise, that Georgia will have warm winters? Probably since it will be right on the sea, right?

 

That map is so cool. There's a county in Florida called Highlands County and obviously it got it's name for being at relative high elevation, and you can see that it's one of the only places left above water.

Not all of you gets burned.... and that that does become gases in the atmosphere which are eventually taken back in by plants. So you are still just some molecules that will feed plants or some other part of the ecosystem.

Now if you REALLY wanted to be cool.... get cremated, then get your ashes crushed into a diamond.

What I have noticed subjectively over the last couple of decades is the seasons are not as different in temp extremes and they have shifted around the calendar.
Weather that used to show up in Sept.-Oct. is making it's appearance in Nov-Dec. with a net result of warmer, seemingly shorter "winters" here (if you can say So. Ca. even has winter.)
