A pesky mosquito kept biting me and the itching woke me up, so, here I am.

I am allergic to them and my hand is now black and blue and swollen :(

    Wild Bill needs our help

    Hey Everyone,

Wild Bill here. I know this is an unusual place to post what I am about to post but I need your help. It's not life or death situation or anything even close to that. As most of you know I live the life of an independent filmmaker. It's a feast or famine existence. But I digress. There's a website that is run by Forrest Whitaker that I have posted a passion project of mine that I would like to see made. Here's what I need from y'all. Click on the link below and check it out. When you get to the site, sign up. They will send you a confirmation email to make sure they are not dealing with a robo-mailer. Once you get that, click on the confirmation to return to the site and then find my project. I need as many 4 or 5 star ratings as I can get. My love to all of you, my brothers and sisters. Thanks in advance.

sorry to hear this s.h. it must be hard to avoid getting bitten in your hot climate.. we're enjoying a heatwave in the uk, the only time it's possible to get bitten.. I spent some of the winters away in asian countries in the last 10 yrs, & the mosquitos were the serpent in paradise.. take care as bites can lead to other problems..

Is that the Roman numeral that you are thinking of?

1,000 and Minus 100 for the second 1,000 plus the D stands for 50. 1950.

    Anyway, Good Morning.

    Hi MVMCD,

Thank you for the love. I do try to stay indoors between dawn and dusk when they are at their worst. We have a couple of ponds and I suppose that attracts them. They usually aren't in the house, but I think they either sneak in through the window units or hitch a ride in my hair when I'm coming in from outside.

I refuse to get The Shot, They'll eventually throw me into a FEMA camp bc I refuse but The Shot is not what it appears to be, so, I will not be getting it, nor a pneumonia shot either.

I hope you are doing well and are happy.

    Bright Blessing

    Mary

hi Kenny, & I hope you're making a good recovery. Nothing so complicated
as roman numerals.. just my initials & year of birth. My children (all grown up) strongarmed me into using the computer to send emails when I went off to faraway places, & we had to find a password & username that I would easily remember. I have more & more of those senior moments when I can't remember stuff.. do you know about those senior moments?
hi Mary.. my initials were the other way round MC was my maiden name McD after marriage.. I agree about the shots, I've never had any, & so far so good.. from your post I gather you have a good knowledge of natural remedies, & keeping your immune system strong..

HI MVMCD, it's good to know you. Glad you're around.

I just guessed Roman numerals because of the exact letter. Like: I, V, X, L, C, D, and M are all Roman numerals. So, just a guess.
We're born in the same year.

Yeah, I'm recovering pretty good at this point. The pain is pretty much gone and everything else is moving right along. Thanks for the best wishes.

    Ken

"I refuse to get The Shot"

Cool, LOL, They now have a shot to keep mosquitoes away! WOW! I want one of those. Where do you get them!!!!!!

    LOL

When I was a kid we had lakes with shallows and there were lot of reeds and Cattails in areas along the lakes' shores. We had heard that Iroquois and other northeastern Indians would cut and collect the punks on the cattails and dry them. They would cut the punks keeping way long stems or shafts. They would stick the dried cattails in the ground up wind from where they sat or worked and light the slow burning punks and the punks wound smoke forever, pouring smoke over the people.

This would keep the mosquitoes totally away.

When we were kids we camped out and tried this a couple of times and it always worked perfectly always.

Do you guys have any shallow in your ponds? Any Cattails? Can you travel to someplace that has cattails and dig them up by the roots? Re-plant them in your ponds?

Just a thought. It would be well worth it for next year, to go and put some in this year.

Kenny, I think the shots are to prevent ailments like malaria, we're dinner to the mosquitos. I spent a winter (escaping the cold, it was hot there) living with a family in sri lanka, & every evening our landlord went round with a smoking pan.. he went to our rooms & waved it under beds etc to drive the mosquitos away. It was probably something like your cattails.. great that you're getting well. I saw Mary's dietary advice, like eating green vegetables. It's very important to eat carefully.. My name is maura (it's mary in irish)..

    maura,

LOL, I'm allergic to green. But I can do carrots. LOL

Green makes me all of a sudden break out in mosquitoes bites.

    Glad to know you.

I have heard that Kenneth is Gaelic for something plus something.
    {He's not too subtly fishing for answer responses. / LOL}

I'd love to go to Sri Lanka. I'd buy some sapphires while there. How was it for you?

    Hi! Thanks Roamy!

Wow. Hey. Remind me to always make sure that you are around, if I'm ever feeling down or blue, and I need to fish for compliments. LOL. That was all too perfect.

Actually, really thank you, because you found much more information then I have ever heard of. Wow. and thank you.

In American baby name books one can find out that Kenneth is Gaelic for Handsome and intelligent. That's about all.

I didn't know a thing about Cionaod and Cinaeth. Cool. Thanks. Maybe I should change my name, if I only knew how to pronounce those two.
Cionaod = See o na od - ????? Cy on aod ???? Key o na od ????? Sio na od ? Sion a od ?

I may never get that one Right. LOL

    ----
When I read these aloud to my girlfriend:
in english kenneth means -royal obligation
in gaelic it means gentle and lovable
in irish it means handsome and firey.

she gasped and laughed, and said that hits it right on the head. handsome and firey.

I said "Firey, but what about the gentle and lovable?"

She said, "Oh, you are that too."

    It was funny. LOL

    Thanks

    Hi Marykins,

I talked with Ranger. We should do a board meeting. He's up for it. We said that there is nothing new, but we should do it as a technical requirement.

Come to think of it: It being July, We should start off with a General Church meeting. Jan, April, July, and October. Every 3 months, with the first one beginning in the first part of each new year, and related to closing the old year's business.

General Church Meeting first and a Board meeting next. Not much new to talk about. But a General meeting is great for giving everybody a feeling of participation and belonging.
