By having prohibition in place, we have killed about 100,000 Mexicans. If that's not war, I would like to hear YOUR definition.

I do not want a war with anyone. Alto' I would not run or hide. I would defend my home and family if it came to that.

I think it's a lack of Education in mexico and other countries and why they can't get their shit together in their own countries. This lack of protecting our boarders is crushing our economy in Texas, even the naturalized latinos are against this flood of immigrants. They cut their jobs too by taking lower pay.

I was getting 13$ ph ten yrs ago. Now they same job pays 7.50. Employers say,"I can get a mexican for cheaper" and they do. You can't even pay a mortgage and car payment/insurance on 7.50 an hr.

Know the song well. The question still stands. We only lost about 60000 in Nam. They lost over a million. The drug war has claimed over a 100k Mexicans, a large number of innocents. So called collateral damage.

Ok. Forget that question. Try this one. Are we The Church of the Good Earth, or, The Church of the Good United States?

I vaguely recall something in the US constitution about state religion. Anyone else see it?

    Mark,

I do not like that ppl are killed over this so called drug war. It's a terrible thing and could be corrected with legalizing pot. But the gov is making too much money with court cost/prison/probation fees/ fines and what the cartels pay them

Smoke American! Viva la Emerald Triangle!

Prob is this would not have much effect on the Cartels whose main $ makers are coke & heroin.

It's so screwed up how can anyone know what it says. Mark, This is The Church Of The Good Earth. It is open for all ppl. My personal opinions on immigration is not about the ppl but more about the lack of care the gov is showing to it's citizens. We should take care of the citizens who pay the gov's salary and if there is any left over, then we should help others. We can not continue to support other countries/ppls before we take care of our own.

Just like you would not take the food from your children's mouth to feed a stranger. If there is left overs yes, but not out of the mouths of our children

Just sayin. We can thank Nixon for starting it, but, the war on drugs has become permanent policy since. I would like to see what the founders envisioned. Bloodless revolution. Vote them all out. No more incumbents. Takes 1 term to figure out the game. DON'T GIVE THEM THE CHANCE!

    I agree with that Mark.

We need a do over, no parties, just ppl that we the ppl think would do a good job. Like an economics professor or someone that knows what they are doing and are doing their job, not vaca'ing all over and not being available where a crises arises.

    Good Morning My Friends,

:coffee: is on the stove and the :pie: on the window sill is for supper so, no eating the :pie:

I have been reflecting over what has been going on in here about church and state. Having read and understood what I have read. I have come to this conclusion.

My opinion and what I say is strictly that, My opinion and does not reflect the doctrine of our church. We are not Imperialists and are not ruled by government, not to say there are no rules, we all have to live by certain rules. Like the Golden Rule.

We are still a free ppl and we can discuss anything we see relevant and even not so relevant. We are not allowed to discuss a candidate during an election yr nor contribute funds to any certain party.

We can however, talk about current events, world news etc. We are free to state our Opinions, under the constitution, since this is not an election yr and we are not endorsing a candidate.

That being said, I wouldn't want our home here turned into a political format. I think it divides the ppl as it has been displayed to do so.

It has been suggested that we take the political talk to another forum. I'll go along with it as much as I can, but there will be times when I talk to you, my brethern about what is on my mind, to get insight and connect on that level.

    Love and Light

    Mary

This is The Church Of The Good Earth. If you're from Mexico start a branch where you live. In Mexico.

I'm all for new immigration rules where for every Monegasque (person from Monte Carlo) we allow to immigrate into the United States we might allow one person from Mexico.

Good Old America Equality. One for One.

    ====

American citizens, just for Pot, people become felons and go to prison for nice long times. People who intentionally break the law and sneak into the United States are booked and released. Now-a-days I.C.E. says we're too busy. Just release them. In the U.S. streets.
