Church of the Good Earth 1963 and Beyond

I dont usually post music in here, but these songs are hitting home with the force of an
good earthquake. When I listen to them, I am inspired. It's the essence of what we are. I was sending out a message. Each one calling to us. So many people feel it but don't know how to grab hold. The message was to lift us up and bring us together.

Finally back on the computer. Wow! A lot can happen when you wake up sleeping hippies from their dreaming and get them to actually live the dream again. Wow. I'm impressed.

Cakes, that was all too beautiful. And all to real and true.

In other news: I saw on the news today that the Power Ball just went up to 420 million. It just takes one ticket. That's all. Maybe I'll go out of my way and spend a buck. LOL

You asked about a mission statement. I'll do that.
That is for the "Museum/Festival" thingy. This starts first with buying the website space for the "Museum/Festival" website that I'm still creating, and bringing that LIVE online. That is also our P.R. / promote space and the basis for the NonProfit status. I have studied up on all of this for years now. I have it covered.

I also have the cash on hand for the incorporation filing with the state. Soon to be taken care of.
I'm on that and then "The Book".

What I don't have any extra time for is "The Church" new thing. I can help out but I can only help to head up so many things at once, before I start to get scattered, if you know what I mean.

So, here's what I feel. I you have the energy. If Steve, and Nails and others feel that the Church is a REAL focus. Can you guys start an exploratory group to see who is in and would be active???? At least with their "Two Cents". I'll be in it! I can help in making it happen.

That also requires a mission statement. Stacey or Leo Ron may be able to put their hands on the original mission statement.

A mission statement is a serious thing, and once given as your foundation of your organization to the State for the reason for your incorporate, usually can never be ever changed. Therefore in must be very well thought out.
Then voted on and adopted. So, do take care and don't b it a hurry.

Then you need to pick a State to file for incorporation in. We should very carefully study that one, as well. Things like sales tax and other things.

Just Thinking out loud to you guys. So, much to do,so little time.

In 07 I helped on a Goodstock2007 festi for about two yrs. I did a tremendous amount of research on all the bands that were still kickin' and I have all their numbers in my file.

Unfortunatly Me and Chris Wah got suckered and got shafted by the guy doing the festi.. ohh the fest went down alright but I never even got a damn ticket to pass.

I got experience now by golly..lol

But Yes, I agree that we get it together. We are unstoppable.

Mike, what people should be given to understand is that we are not rock concert promoters. Our intent is not live music.

The thought is to create a "Living History Museum". Like the Rennaisance Faire use to be. Like Colonel Williamsburg is.

Canned sound on a P.A. system. Not the Concert business. "Live in" (on site) crafts and food village. Campathon. Build yer own trail-gate parties. Whatever.

A "Living in it", immersion experience, for the visitors. Stepping back in time to a time of Free Spirit and happening.
Removing ones self from today's world.

Not concerts. That's requires millions from big backers and loss of "the vision". That IS FOR PROFIT.

The major cost we encountered when we put the Dead & the Airplane on in GG Park was the insurance policy. We traded BGP the video rights for the use of his million $ policy.

If we want live music the OCF pattern is something to look into also the format they use/d for the Stone Henge or Glastonbury festavals. If we pull this off there may well be some bands asking to be allowed to play.

 

One hand typing here and in a damn neck brace....so it takes a bit of time to type. May not contribute to the daily discussions but peruse regulary..and am not a punk or a whatever may be thought about for not posting either. I only speak for me... but others who peruse and not post may agree with me or not. ANYWAY....DO NOT CALL it GOODSTOCK!! As Nails profered we went through this in the past I got an entertainment COMPANY in WVA to get all gear/stage/lights/power gennys and sound.... and we got screwed. Never got a paid trip or a ticket to the SLEASE-Vent. That Company still is pissed off at my good name and I do not balme them at all!! I jumped in whole hog so to speak and will not do it again unless I control way more than before. Not ego talking just the facts..just the facts...

IF you call it Goodstock I can see "Arty" Cornhole sueing you/us/whoever . Just an fyi. One hand hunt and pecking here and I have not taken time to reply to any as it is hard to type. BUT I want to save any who persue this adventure to make sure have ALL ducks in a row!! These things do cost a bit of money and you CANNOT have a Money grubbing Bastard at the helm! !! I wish it was 1969 and I wish we had our own Max Yasgar... Please think this through before you jump through the rabbit hoe!!
