    Hi all :

I log on and the beginning of the thread popped up and I saw that JD had had posted and a few others way back a few years ago when the thread started. They have not posted in a while. First off HELLO to all those who posted then and YOU TOO JD!!!! I also saw someone had contacts in Belguim?

The question I want to know may be able to get answered by whoever had connects in Belguim. I wonder if anyone knows if that may be where Greg Wahs little sister (Lizzy) may have ended up?? The reason for asking is that we heard Lizzy ended up with some of the Food Farm/maybe GE Orygun folks who went to Europe? That was probally 1980 tho.

After Greg Died and I had him cremated we had the ashes spread in Tiller and also in a spot up ABOVE AV that was special to Greg and I. Gregs divorced Parents came out then too. Lizzy was living at the EDR/Food Farm then and is 3 years younger than all of us over 56.

I had been told Lizzy had contacts with Sareen(Gregs Daughter. We (Sheila and I) have been trying to find Sareen for a long time now. We took care of here and she was like a sister to two of my boys and like a daughter to Sheila. Sareen was taken back by Pebbles tho who was Serenes Birth Mother. But Greg had raised Sareen since she was 1 year old, and Sareen (BEENIE was her nickname) was always being handed off to Sheila(AND GLADLY SO) when ever Greg and I were on the road or when ever Greg had a place he needed to be where he could not take Beenie. After Pebbles came out from Colorado and took Sareen they Disappeared??

We had heard that Sareen ended up with a grandmother in WYoming but we have never found her. BUT We had heard that Lizzy had some contact.

With the internet allowing so so much and since this site has been so good at finding folks, Sheila asked me to post this in hopes of maybe some news RE: Sareen

Would really love to know if ANYONE knows anything re this.

    WW

    Peace/love

    welcome back Chris.
I remember the main house on the Ranch. Kid and I borrowed part of the the irrigation sysem from Golden Gate Park and brought it up to the RANCH. Cooking on a wood stove is a trip and heating the water at the same time was strange to me at the time but then I realized how energy efficient it was. The first time up a bunch of us stayed at this ex-logger's house who I think was the only democrat in the county. Don't remember his name. The next time I slept in my van and bathed in the house. Did some shingling once and worked oin the tractor. Memories are vague after all these years. Do remeber Nancy being like a tribal mother. I aoways thought she was better at that than Cyril was at being tribal father ( At keast for me - I never did get along with authority figures).

Anybody remember the name of the tall slim dude from Iowa I think. He and his lady had to split oin their bail and we had to cover it. He had been a highschool football player. I thinkj his name was Joel. ( too many years and too many hits.

Does anyone remember have any stories about being 'rodies' for Jefferson Airplane. Big Brother n THC, ect, at the Avalon Ball Room.. going backstage, hanging out.. sucking nitrisoxcide outta tanks and being stoned.. I remember one thanksgiving they wanted someone to cook turkeys and somehow I got volenteered and had to roast 5 turkeys.. I had turkeys cookin' all over the neighborhood.. I did manage to get them all cooked and we took them to the Avalon...You couldn't buy alcohol there back then, so I snuck like 8 bottle of liquor in the boxes of food, n when we ran out I went back to the store n got some more and put in under some loafs of bread and brought it in.. they didn't search me bc I had a tag bc I was in n out with the food prep.. we got blasted that night n I don't even remember going home or who took me.. does anyone remember that..

I remember hanging out back stage at Winterland at a Hot Tuna concert. I also remember going to a backstage party there one night. There were a bunch of musicians partying in a backroom (John Chipolini (Quicksilver) and the drummer from the Steve Miller Band. They let in a few of us GE'ers. There a nitrous oxide tank and people were sucking on the hose until they started convulsing and dropping to floor flopping like fish on the dock. One of the GE'ers (who will go nameless) hit the drummer from Steve Miller Band over the head with a gallon wine jug. The drummer got a small head wound and we all got kicked out!

I only did a few hits off the 'hose' but I think it was the Avalon bc I remember it was on Market St. and and The Carrosell was down the street.. It wasn't the Filmore cuz that is in the Filmore Dist... to be honest.. after a few hits off the hose.. who knew where they were.. Love and Blessings sh

I remember the party with the nitrous but not wher it was or getting kicked out. That;s probably becaus I think I passed out and didn't get up until late in the AM and headsed home to GE.

It was Aries Larry who filled the water meter with concrete (a political and practical solution).

It was Tall thin bearded Aquarious Tony ( I think that was his name) who owned a custom tryke and did wood working (carpentry, totem poles etc.) who, with an older dude (whose name I can't remember) had a relationship wiht the Airplane ; I don't think it was roadying I think they were doing work on the Airplane house.

My thing is that I never forget a face but have an incredibly hard time remenbering names. That's why I call everybody pal, buddy, bro etc.
    Peace out

You're right. Aquarius Tony and I think the older guy's name was Ray. I got to work on the Airplane House on Fulton Street. We used butane torches to heat up the old paint on these huge redwood pillars on the front and then scraped off the bubbled-up paint with putty knives. It was very tidious work. We refinished and painted the outside of the house and (I think it was Breeze) refinished / sanded the wooden floors inside. I remember seeing members of the Airplane hanging out and practicing their music. A few Hell's Angels would be there too. I also remember, one of our crew climbed in through an upstairs bedroom window from the paint scaffold, to grab a big bag of grass off the bed. We were so innovative.

We scraped the paint off the walls of underhouse too. Jimmy painted a mural on one whole wall and we scraped the other walls.. It was beautiful wood under the yrs n yrs of built up old paint. It was tedious and the fumes stank.. we wore masks sometimes. I think them old houses would have fallen down if we wouldn't have taken them over and kept them alive. Bright Blessings sh

He was later run out of town after getting caught attempting to rape Tarus (Dana's mom) and it coming to light he had raped some of the other women. Rumor had it he took refuge in Half Moon Bay.

Who were the North Beach Wharf Rats? Bikers? I remember that attempted rape episode.

As Thanksgiving draws near.. it brings times of togetherness and rememeberences.. We were the world back then.. nothing could stop us. Our youth was all we needed... If we would not have shown up for the party, I wonder what would have happened to us. What would have happened to the world if we had not been 'called' to our 'posts'. Ppl throughout the universe thought we were crazy, on drugs, lost, demonized,, or whatever fear lable they laid on us.... But we Did something.. we changed destiny for millions... and what we acomplished back then is still rippling through the universe.. The energy we put out is gathering above, making ready to return and Bless us all with true Peace, Love and Harmony..What a wonderful time we grew up in, what we did with it.. and how it affected our lives..The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly of it... The most aspicious thing is, we still have that firelight inside us.. we still hold the keys.. Bright Blessings to all our Family..sh
