So my stupid laptop is upgrading to stupid Windows 10. Right now I'm on my family's computer. I know... makes it sound like I'm younger, lol. Nope... still 35.

go back and find heathers link to stop peer to peer updates......

also....right click on each tile in the tile page in order to ''turn off live tile'' or you will be flying through data with extras

I don't remember where that link was posted. It might be somewhere in this thread. I'll have to ask her if I see her online. Unless you remember where it was I will have to wait.

Anyway, it's not finished upgrading yet so I'm not following about live tiles but it sounds interesting. I kind of want to see what you're talking about now! Lol.

^^^ That doesn't fix anything if you don't want Windows 10 installed in the first place.

I have some news (not especially good, but it could be a LOT worse) - yesterday in the late aft/early evening as I was sitting in here reading a book, Mama comes in from outside and is sort of crying (no tears) saying she had fallen outside on her wrist.

I took one look at it, and it was already turning very blue and swelling somewhat...I say "Mama I think its broken...we're going to the hospital now. Lets change clothes". So we each go to our respective places and change. Before we leave she tries to talk me out of it, saying "I don't really think its broken"...I'm brooking no argument at this point! I told her as much, and told her in no uncertain terms we were going!

So, yes I was right - thank goodness it was broken straight across and doesn't have to be set...since the stupid asses at our hospital NEVER have an orthopaedist there and they cannot set anything...which makes it very difficult when a bone must be set.

So, at age 95 Mama has her first broken bone...her right wrist.

Right now she is asleep here on the couch (passed out) after taking a pain pill...its very light weight, and I'd have to take 2 to even tell a meager difference; but (thank goodness) she has NO tolerance and its helping her. Although she hasn't complained much at all about it.

I called the orthopaedist this morning and they are yet to call me back with an appt for her. wth are they doing they can't even call back?!? I'll get back offline soon so the line will be open for them.

but I'm already thinking if they haven't called back by between 3:30 - 4:00, I'll call them back.

You played that perfectly. No way anybody can fall at age 95 and not seriously damage something.

:) For years now, Mama's "primary care physician" has been a vitamin catalogue. :D

She actually has fallen before (several times!) but just never hard enough (or in the "right" way) to break anything. I was beginning to think her bones were made of steel. Another reason I think she hasn't broken anything is because she isn't big (as in obese) so when she has fallen she doesn't have a lot of weight behind it.

I'm not obese (or overweight) either, but that surely never stopped my bones from breaking. lol I think when I fall, I fall HARD.

Like everything else...I work hard, play hard and fall hard. :D

I've waited a few days for a doctor to call me be back Lynn and some never have. I guess that means they had enough clients. Hope your mom feels better. At 95 bones break so easily.
