I had the same thing happen with Tom Cochrane. Small dive bar in Kitchener and he was a total jerk to the few who were there.

The real irony was that years later we were looking for a house in Cambridge and his parents home was up for sale. The agent took pride in telling us this and pointing to his gold record on the wall. We did not buy that house.

hes not still teaching, he was arrested last month. he was one of my HS teachers, and still held a teaching license, though he did not have a teaching job he was looking for one. some of his victims were students, 7 victims at least. been going on for years. he always came across as trustworthy, thats how he got them. internet luring, exploitation, sex assault on a minor under 15, and thats just what he was arrested for. i hope there arent more victims, but if there are i hope they all come forward so we can keep him locked up.

That is horrible and unfortunately happens far too often. The process for conviction and therefore the removal of his credentials is so long and drawn out. Maybe by more people knowing more will come forward.

Damn frustrating and horrific for anyone who goes through this abuse of power and is violated.

i agree. i couldnt figure out a way to post about it until today though. all the "have great birthday weekend" etc posts keep showing up on my feed. i havent posted to his yet, just to mine so that the mutual friend ripples will start.
thankfully its easy enough to confirm through public records inmate search. i just have to be careful of my insider knowledge, since i get my info from his former wife. she filed for divorce immediately of course.

 

That's too bad about Greg Allman. But I guess after years of being bothered it gets to you. I met Marc Brownstien after a show and he talked to me. None of you know who that is but no one really does. He's the bassist of a much smaller band then the Allman Brothers so maybe that is why. He can probably walk down the street and not be recognized.

 

We had a teacher who used to "lay his nuts" up on the teacher's table as he taught us science. Creeper. He then went on to teach at the high school my kids attended. Neither of them had his class though.

 

another time....we were gathered at a bar named ''stars'' in Brampton near Toronto to see a band clled teenage head........my friend knew the lead singer frankie venom and we all out front chatting in front of the bar....frankie venom was showing us his new sony Walkman....mome of us had seen one cause yhey hed only just come out....our friend walks up to our group and says to the lead singer ''if you don't have a ticket buddy you aren't getting in because its sold out''....we laughed

 

My dad used to be a teacher but he never did anything like that. But one time a girl was mad about a bad grade and she claimed he had touched her. Her parents were big donners to the school so that was all the evidence that was needed. Thankfully she finally admitted it was a lie but I think the whole thing turned him off of the job. He had good feedback every year from other parents and all that was ruined by some brat. The story stuck around the halls long after.

 

how does the tv show ''2 broke girls'' stay on television....it is the worst fucking show wit awful cliché jokes the brunette wears a disgusting amount of makeup

 

Just got off the phone with a person who I do not speak with very often mainly because they are the "bigger", "better", "done everything" type. I am going to blame it on low tolerance from my cold as I finally just said "I am too sick to listen to you and I need to go".

my meditation teacher today had me follow her words subject and it was so uncomfortable. I could not focus at all, it felt like my left eye was looking left and my right looking left at same time splitting my head... she wanted me to repeat her words in my head and I could hardly focus cause my eyes doing that un natural thing... it was very very weird and the most uncomfortable session by far.

Just went for a 90minute walk with the dog. I did just under 7 thousand steps says my phone.

 

LOL! My son and his uncle, my brother were talking this past annual visit...they began talking about people's need to share their every little thought...

My son said "I can't figure out why anybody would think I care, especially strangers...I don't even want to hear random thoughts or feelings (ewww) from people I genuinely care about".
