I used to read those teenbeat and tigerbeat magazines....anyone under 40 probably doesn't know what i'm talking about but they featured the teen idols of the day...lots of the 2 corry's,bobby Sherman,daavid Cassidy, etc etc

and jack wild from puffnstuff....I thought he was the coolest...he was the coolest.....I wrote jack a letter telling him how I am a fan......I expected jack to write me back and fly me to los angeles to costar the show

boy was I disappointed when I received a form letter with a fake signature thanking me for being a fan and encouraging me to buy a record album....that was the last time I was ever a ''fanatic'' instead of just a ''fan''

 

here they are...the 2 dudes I wrote fan letters to in 1970...I was 11...jack wild and bobby Sherman...these mags sometimes had a 35 rpm vinyl record inside

almost as disappointing as going to see greg allman at a bar in Toronto...I arrived at 5 pm to get a good set...only me and my sister in the whole bar...except greg allman and some dude sitting at one of the tables....not a single soul anywhere except us and them....I gather my nerve and go up to the table to praise him and get an autograph

the cocksucker said he didn't want to be bothered and please give him privacy

I still stayed for the show but wish I had told him off and left
