Do you mean, "the crash that started before Obama got into office, which he then summarily squashed"?

    Yeah, no.
The Reds don't have a chance.
The Blues already have the cards stacked in their favor (electoral college votes that are locked in for Dems create a major challenge for any Republican, before it even starts).

Not only that, but every single person the Repubs have in line are guilty of much worse than any on the Dem side, including Hillary.
Like Jeb Bush, who forced his will on American wife and husband (Terri Schiavo & her husband), where he got a one time "do what I say" card and forced them to keep her feeding tube in... even though it was against her and her husbands wishes.
Or Rand Paul who has plagiarized a bunch of his speeches and was accredited by a board that he created and put his own family and friends on.
Or half the field that are devout Christians looking to impose religious law on all of America (also known as anti-Constitutional).
And Carly has never held an office of any kind and was fired from the one high profile job she had.
Then there's Scott Walker who has promised to do what he can to destroy what's left of Unions, along with never answering a question tougher than "What's 3 + 3?"
Not to mention they all deny climate change, which is provable through scientific facts... but since they "aren't a scientist", apparently they can't believe science.
Plus the whole "we're for small government... unless it's about religious law, then we're totally about big government. Allahu Akbar!" Oh wait...

I am not even thinking about drawing partisan lines with this. There's no point. They are ALL part of the same country club (their words). I was not "blaming" Obama for the crash, the mechanism for that started on Clinton's watch and was perpetuated by Bush. Same as Obama Phones, originally a Bush program that nobody cared about.

You could spend a lifetime trying to figure out where the dems and repubs are actually different. At their core they are the same, elite greedy bastards who want nothing more than to own us all. But they are not a united front/ Their greed divides them since they are chopping at the same pie.

Unions have failed to modernize. They still operate like they did a century ago. Some work, others don't do a thing (like teachers unions, does anyone think education has improved in the last 40 years). And who do the public unions protect the cops, firefighters and government workers from? Us? Are we such a threat?

If we take a step back from the political posturing it's easier to see that latching onto either party is the mark of a fanatic. I won't support either of the two who have monopolized the process as a group. I'll vote for a democrat or a republican on the way they plan to deal with the issue and that's all. In the last 20 years this has been nothing more than a choice between the lesser of two assholes.

There's no point to griping about the news either. They clearly distort everything and I have to read a couple of dozen news sites before I can hope to have some cross section of the real story buried within. When I hear people gripe about Fox News I wonder why the same are so silent about the gaffs and fuckups at CNN or MSNBC? This is another kind of fanaticism, that of people's opinions. I don't care what O Reilly has to say 90% of the time. He's a self-absorbed elite wanker who has no idea how the rest of us live. I used to like Melissa Harris Perry till she went full race bait with a side of commie.

I think it's disgusting that a guy died from a broken neck in police custody and I want some answers. But I'd have more respect for the rioters if they were holding the riot at the police station instead of the local pharmacy (which will not likely return). Look how these horrible powder kegs have been cultivated. We are in the midst of people who hate Americans entirely when it is only a few of them, in the US government, who have made us the most hated people on earth.

Most Americans don't want to bother anyone. But their government has been hijacked by wealthy assholes on BOTH sides of the aisle. That is something we all need to fear a LOT more than holding political bickering sessions among ourselves. I'm positive that the GOP will give the nod to someone reprehensible, like they did with McCain and Romney (both hired to take a dive) or a wildcard like Cruz. It's interesting to see the GOP with such a diverse field this time around.

While the democrats are running what? Old white people? Tsk Tsk

Also, like Clinton, Obama "squashed" the economic nightmare by taking out lots of loans and printing lots of money leading to an embarrassing credit adjustment. Unemployment numbers are an absolute lie, especially among black Americans who have been devastated by the influx of cheaper workers. If Americans realized that real unemployment is closer to 20% the nation would slide swiftly into a depression as everybody started to hoard their assets. That's happened before.

The first thing to put it all into perspective is first assume that all politicians are lying either in a little way or a huge way. It's a pessimistic position to assume, but when you do find the rare "honest" politician after wading through a sea of lying bastards, it will be like the heavens have opened and you hear Handel's Messiah!

You expect everyone to read two completely opposite political party platforms and like or dislike both of them equally? Absurd.

When I consider one issue, wages, I see only the haves having more and the have-nots having less. Instead of solving the problems we have two teams who whack the ball (us) back and forth like a free-floating, misguided Pinata. Many of our problems stretch across many administrations and we so often seem to be right back where we started on so many issues.

But really, the way both sides enhance, conceal and LIE, makes it pretty easy for me to hate them both. Equally? That's a tough call.

One party takes the position that "trickle down economics" is a factual thing that we can and should depend on, while the other declares it to be a fantasy. I've never seen it work. Have you?

...which you have the right to do, of course.

..and will happen again, of course, unless our government starts putting a fairer price on an hour's work and learns to keep their slimy paws out of the cookie jar, metaphorically speaking.

It may just be me, but it seems women are more nurturing when it comes to matters of family and children (which those highways lead right to FAIR wages).

Trickle Down was a con. Why is it still going on? Why didn't the other party "fix" it?

And yes, thanks for that, you too have every right to your opinion. I would never say otherwise.

The one thing I am very tired of are all the incumbents who keep getting reelected in rigged contests that exclude all but the wealthy.

    Vote for Bernie Sanders.

Also, wow... there was so much off base with what you posted, I can't even muster the will to respond to it all.
I'm not saying that to be an asshole, it's just stating what I believe is a cold, hard fact.
Not that everything was off-base, there were some good points in there too.

In any case, check out Bernie Sanders... he's running and just introduced legislation to break up the big banks.

(Also, CVS released an official statement saying that they are going to rebuild that CVS.)

No dude, you're being a perfect asshole with this. I don't give a crap what you think of me. Stick to the fucking subject. And don't get uselessly personal with me on this or I won't waste any time with you.

Bernie Sanders? Do you really think he has a chance on this planet? Break up the big banks? Not going to happen. The US economy is a house of cards. Closing the casino will bring the crash immediately. The current modus is to keep the game going until all the players are wealthy and secure in their offshore compounds (the families of Kennedy, Bush, Clinton Obama, Kerry etc. have homes and compounds in the Caribbean, South America and a few scattered islands.

Their plan is to run out at the last minute.

I don't like most of the assholes in Washington. I'd wager there aren't 10% of them that are dedicated to the office. With such a field you really expect me to make sense of this? Or do you really think what you're suggesting here is more concrete? Bernie Sanders? Why? Because Pat Paulson is dead? What about Kinky Friedman, he's still kicking.

Hewlett Packard makes the shittiest computers around. They use very cheap soldering for their circuitboards that causes shortages. I had a beautiful HP Pavilion laptop that was super expensive and the motherboard fried right after the warranty expired. Not sure if it was Fiorina's problem or not, but still, FUCK YOU HP!

I have no idea who Kinky Friedman is, nor do I think (as amusing as it would be) that Americans would vote in "President Kinky".
And yes, I do think Bernie Sanders has a chance.
A chance that's getting better by the day.

I also think it's asinine to resign oneself to "well the banks are too big so we may as well just let them control the country".
That's both defeatist and ultimately damaging to our country.

    Also, you're insane.
How the fuck was I being an asshole?
I said you were wrong about stuff, but I didn't call you any names and tried to let you know I was just replying to the content of what you wrote, not responding to you personally.
In other words, I said absolutely nothing about you personally and even said you had made some good points too.

And I was sticking to the fucking subject... remove your conspiracy "everyone's out to get me" hat and read what I wrote again.

Feel free to respond, but try to leave your paranoia on the side this time and try not to act like an asshole when I hadn't started out being an ass in any way shape or form.
I'm being testy right now because your response was fucked up, but you can change that by actually getting back into a discussion instead of projecting some sort of false narrative on what I write.

    fer fuck sake

Well, if and only if 30,000 of those frowny faces represent every worker responsible for making HP computers so shitty, then they didn't belong in the tech industry in the first place.

He was never a serious contender, probably just used the campaign to blow money with his buddies. Another one was Pat Paulsen who ran for many years.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Paulsen

I understand the appeal of Bernie, but Vermont is hardly a qualifier. Especially when you consider how he wants to continue to chase down "social democracy" under the guise of redistribution. He's right that our nation was never meant to be owned by elite billionaires and that our war dead were not sacrificed to score a buck for greedy assholes. But, that's not a winning hand these days.

As much as we all like our polarized politics, picking sides sure makes arguments easier, his message won't get him far. What works in Vermont, a tiny state, won't extrapolate across a nation. Romney proved that years ago. So did Obama when he extrapolated the Massachusetts healthcare across the nation. Numerically it's impossible. There are not enough hospitals, beds, doctors, nurses or bed pans for everyone in the nation. The country is just too fucking big and does not have the infrastructure due to explosive growth.

And the sole reason for that growth was to keep the House of Cards economy, designed for a continuous growth model, chugging along. Toward a cliff. I actually feel sorry for all the Hispanic folks being conned into coming here. They think a better life awaits in the magic land of America. Ask the people currently living on the government dole how they feel about that. As they step across our border they become slaves. Anyone who points this out is shouted down as a racist.

As far as being insane, I thought that was abundantly clear. I don't hide it. There's several folks in this head of mine, all with differing opinions. But most of us still think you were being an asshole by every indicator. Be proud of that, it's a gift from God!
